I have a master's in Creative Writing and I taught English at various levels for many years, seven of them in Spain. I worked for seven years in a petroleum refinery in operations and procedure writing. I also have extensive training in all aspects of emergency response. I have been doing freelance translation for 13 years. In recent years, much of my translating has been in the medical field and in education.

My wife and I work as a team. I am the primary translator and she is my built-in editor, particularly when the target language is Spanish. She is a native speaker of Spanish and earned a master's in Biology in Spain. She worked ten years in computer modeling of radioactive contamination in the environment. Now she is a bilingual elementary teacher where she keeps herself absolutely up-to-date in the field.

I am ATA-certified in Spanish>English translation.
