Suhteline vaesus näitab elanike osatähtsust, kelle sissetulekud jäävad allapoole mingit osakaalu elanikkonna mediaansissetulekust. Euroopa Liidus ja sealhulgas Eestis loetakse allpool vaesusriski piiri elavateks inimesi, kelle sissetulekud on väiksemad kui 60% sissetulekute mediaanist. Suhtelise vaesuse näitajate arvutamisel kasutatakse Euroopas levinud tarbimiskaale 1; 0,5;0,3.
Suhtelise vaesuse näitajate põhjal ei saa otseselt hinnata inimeste toimetuleku paranemist või halvenemist, sest need ei põhine kulutustel ega tarbimisel. Suhteline vaesus peegeldab sissetulekute jaotust ühiskonnas - see tähendab, et kui inimeste sissetulekud kasvavad, aga sissetulekute jaotus jääb samaks, siis suhtelise vaesuse määr ei muutu.

Relative poverty shows the percentage of inhabitants whose income remains below a certain percentage of the median income of inhabitants. In the European Union and in Estonia, people whose income is lower than 60% of the income median are considered to be living below the level of poverty risk. In calculating the relative poverty indicators, the consumption scales recognised in Europe are used: 1; 0.5; 0.3.
The relative poverty indicators do not allow for a direct evaluation of an improvement or deterioration in people’s subsistence, as these indicators are not based on expenditure or consumption. 13.3. The Contractor shall be obliged to rectify the defects and omissions emerged during the warranty period, regarding which the Contractor fails to prove that they have not appeared through his fault. The time of doing the works regarding the revealed and proven defective and/or nonperformed jobs shall be agreed upon by the Parties. The defects and omissions revealing themselves during the warranty period, provided it be proven that they are due to the Contractor and/or result from his actions or failure to act, shall be eliminated within four (4) weeks at the outside. In case rectification of the work shoudl require use of special equipment, which may bnot be available during the said term, then the contractor shall give reasonable grounds to the Customer for the dealy and perform the works immediately after such equipment shoudl become available.
13.4. If the Contractor, notwithstanding the written claim of the Customer fails to rectify the revealed shortcomings by the agreed date, or fails to start elimination of shortcomings on the agreed date, or evades in some other way liquidating of the shortcomings, the Customer shall have the right to assign liquidation of shortcomings to the third parties on account of the Contractor. The end of the warranty period shall not relieve the Contractor from the obligation to remove the defects, if he Customer has notified the Contractor in written about finding the defects prior to the term of the warranty period. | Translation - Estonian
13.3. Töövõtja on kohustatud parandama kõik garantiiperioodil ilmnevad puudujäägid ja tegematajätmised, mille suhtes Töövõtja ei suuda tõendada, et need ei ole tekkinud tema süül. Pooled lepivad kokku avastatud ja tõendatud puudulike ja/või tegemata tööde tegemiseks antava aja. Garantiiperioodil ilmnevad puudujäägid ja tegematajätmised, mis tõendatult tulenevad Töövõtjast ja/või tema tegevusest või tegevusetusest, kõrvaldatakse hiljemalt nelja (4) nädala jooksul. Kui töö parandamiseks on vaja eriseadmeid, mis ei pruugi olla mainitud tähtaja jooksul kättesaadavad, esitab Töövõtja Kliendile piisava põhjenduse hilinemise kohta ja teostab tööd viivitamatult taoliste seadmete kättesaadavaks muutumisel.
13.4. Kui Töövõtja hoolimata Kliendi kirjalikust nõudest ei paranda avastatud puudujääke kokkulepitud kuupäevaks, või ei alusta puudujääkide kõrvaldamist kokkulepitud kuupäeval, või põikleb mingil viisil puudujääkide kõrvaldamisest kõrvale, on Kliendil õigus tellida puudujääkide kõrvaldamine kolmandatelt osapooltelt Töövõtja kulul. Garantiiperioodi lõppemine ei vabasta Töövõtjat puudujääkide kõrvaldamise kohustusest, kui Klient on kirjalikult teavitanud Töövõtjat puudujääkide avastamisest enne Garantiiperioodi lõppu. |

That was where my translator's career really got started.
After that I worked in two insurance companies and while I translated insurance documents, interpreted for a foreign consultant and studied the intricacies of the insurance business, I also studied accounting and banking law on my own to be able to translate financial statements, IPO documents, contracts, notarial deeds and the like. Insurance, accounting and legal texts are my forte until now.
After a while I gave up the nine-to-five world and translated books for a few years, working when I wanted. During that time I also set up relationships with several translation agencies, with whom I work closely together even now. Over the years, I have honed my skills, learning new things in the course of work and studying various subjects on purpose, on my own and with the help of specialists.
By now, I have moved away from the capital and live - already for 11 years - in a beautiful country house in the forest in Estonia with my family.
I now work as a freelancer for translation agencies and clients both here in Estonia and abroad and I love my job. I can get up at 4 in the morning and do the job so I can go mushroom-picking or swimming or sledging with the kids during the day, or I can clean the house in the morning, work in the afternoon and play computer games or watch films with the kids in the evening. Or - if there's a big urgent job on - I get up early, work all day, the kids look after each other, husband cooks dinner and I get to click "Send" on time.
All in all, I consider myself very lucky to have found a beautiful place to live, a good partner, clever kids (well, I didn't really "find" them!) and a profession I am good at and immensely enjoy.
