I have worked in the international trade arena for over 15 years; during which time my language skills have been the cornerstone of my day-to-day activities. Translations (and some interpreting) have been and continue to be an integral part of my day-to-day as International Logistics Manager for a Fortune 100 chemical manufacturer. I am highly fluent in both the written and spoken forms, which has made me very successful in my career. Bridging communications gaps between and among individuals throughout Latin America and the U.S. is my core mission. I was raised in a bi-lingual home (Spanish and English), and then had the invaluable opportunity to live/work in Brasil for almost 10 years. My career in International Trade has enabled me to maintain and continually polish my language skills in the fast paced corporate world. Regular and frequent trips to Latin America help me stay in touch with current trends, ways of doing business, and cultural shifts. My spoken Portuguese (and accent) is so good, that even native Brazilians cannot tell that I'm not Brazilian - it's a wonderful compliment!
