About me

I specialize in computers (software, hardware, internet), linguistics, and in entertainment, particularly video games, anime, and manga.

I have been studying Japanese for seven years, including one year studying classical Japanese at Nagasaki University, and have proficiency equivalent to level 1 (the highest level) of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken). I have a BA with a minor in Asian language and literature.

I am a native English language speaker with above-average writing skills, and I've had some small press fiction and poetry publications.

My experience in translation includes working on the translation of the RPG "Dragon Warrior VII" from Japanese to English, and a number of amateur translations of manga and essays. My rates are reasonable, and commesurate with my experience.

	X Why did the menu change? The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to. The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability. More information on the changes... Where is the "My ProZ.com" menu? Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together. I cannot find something If you are having trouble finding something with the new menu, please submit a support request.
