PLEASE CHECK MY CV WHICH I UPDATE REGULARLY!

I have worked before as an editor of a publishing company and have also translated books from English to Indonesian and vice versa. I also used to work as a journalist in a top English-speaking newspaper in Indonesia , during which I covered news on agriculture, economy and arts. In 1994-2000 I worked for the BBC World Service in London, my jobs at that time included producing and presenting news and other programmes, and also reporting and translating.

Now I work a lot with charity and human rights organisations in the UK and abroad, including Amnesty International, Save the Children, Rain Forest Norway and CAFOD. I have translated for them from press releases to proposals.

Over the years I've worked on legal documents, especially insurance, maritime, shipping, human rights and general laws and regulations.

Experienced in subtitling business. I have worked for an international subtitling company and several production houses in the UK. I've also done transcriptions and translating scripts and many other things related to radio/TV. One of my clients in this field is the BBC, Summer Film (which among others produces programmes for Discovery Channel and Channel 5) and many production houses in the UK.

I also do interpreting and have certificates for interpreting in the court and in the police environment. I have also translated a book on policing and human rights and a workshop handbook for journalists in a campaign to combat violence against women.

In recent years, I am also involved with several market research projects, copy writing and have some regular clients in this business.

I am a member of Association of Indonesian Translators (HPI) and a user of SDL TRados 2007
