Introduction
The SmarTire Dealer Programming Tool (DPT) is designed to facilitate the programming of the SmarTire Passenger Car Receiver and the SmarTire Shielded Receiver (RV, bus and commercial vehicle applications). The DPT Display Unit can not be used as a regular Full Function Display. It can only be used for programming.

Dealer Programming Tool Operating Modes
1. Cold Inflation Pressure (CIP) Change Mode: The ‘CIP Change’ programming mode simplifies the changing of Cold Inflation Pressure settings by simultaneously updating any other directly related settings with proportional default values. These settings include Low Pressure Alert, Critical Low Pressure Alert, Temperature Deviation Alert, and Slope.
2. Full Programming Mode: Enter this mode to program all individual tire parameters independently including programming new sensor ID numbers and relocating sensor ID numbers to different wheel positions.
3. Default Recovery Mode: Enter this mode to reset all system parameters to their factory default settings in the event of original programming corruption.
Dealer Programming Tool Controls and Indicators
Dealer Programming Tool Operation: Getting Started
1. Disconnect the electrical power to the receiver.
2. Depending on the receiver being programmed, follow the appropriate instructions below:
a. Basic Receiver: remove the front bezel to provide access to the display cable connector.
b. Basic Receiver using an Integrated Full Function Display: disconnect the display from the receiver to provide access to the display cable connector.
c. Basic Receiver or Shielded Receiver using a Remote Full Function Display: disconnect the existing display cable from the receiver to provide access to the display cable connector.
3. Connect the DPT display cable to the back of the DPT and then connect it to the receiver.
4. Restore electrical power to the receiver and power on the system. On power-up, the DPT will beep twice and briefly display all screen elements. It will then check the receiver for custom and factory profile problems. (If a problem is detected, the DPT will display an E2 error and the problem will need to be corrected by restoring default settings using the Default Recovery Mode.)
5. After programming is complete, power down the receiver, unplug the DPT, and restore the system to its original configuration.
Cold Inflation Pressure (CIP) Change Mode
1. After powering on the system, press the ‘SET’ button once (must be less than two (2) seconds) to enter the Cold Inflation Pressure Change Mode. The screen should now show a snow flake icon, a designation of pressure units (PSI or Bar) and the preprogrammed wheel positions in the vehicle outline. The wheel icons of the selected axle will also be filled in. Adjustments to the default Cold Inflation Pressure (CIP) setting for each axle can now be made.
2. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle between the different pre-programmed axles. Depending on the type of preconfigured receiver being programmed (Basic or Shielded), there are six axles that can be programmed grouped into two sets of three. The first set of three axles is for the towing vehicle and the second set is for a trailer / tow-behind. Only axles that have sensors programmed to them can be selected. The vehicle outline changes appropriately to reflect either towed or towing vehicle as shown below. Each time the tire button is pushed, the display will show the next axle in sequence. Please ensure the correct axle group is selected when programming the CIP. For example: If programming the CIP on main vehicle, please ensure towing vehicle group is displayed.

3. Press the ‘MODE’ button to select the desired axle. The current CIP value for that axle will now be displayed.
4. Increase the CIP value by pressing the ‘TIRE’ button or decrease the CIP value by pressing the ‘MODE’ button.
5. Once the desired value is displayed, press the ‘SET’ button to save the value.
6. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle to the next axle to be programmed (if required) and repeat steps 2 - 5 until all programmed axles are set to the desired CIP values.
7. When complete, press the ‘SET’ button to exit the CIP Change mode.
NOTE:
• CIP settings are specified by the vehicle manufacturer and usually appear on a placard in defined locations on the vehicle and/or in the Vehicle Operators Manual.
• The DPT’s CIP Change Programming Mode establishes the following alert levels:
a. High Pressure Sensor – Critical Low Pressure Alert = CIP –10%, Deviation Alert = CIP +/- 10PSI, and the Slope = CIP +10;
b. Low Pressure Sensor – Low Pressure Alert = CIP-15%, Critical Low Pressure Alert = CIP –20%, Deviation Alert = CIP +/- 10PSI, and the Slope = CIP +10;
c. If other alert threshold settings are desired, they must be programmed individually using the Full Programming Mode (see Full Programming Mode section). The CIP range allowed on axles equipped with low and high pressure range sensors is:
• Low Pressure Sensor Range – from 10 PSI to 76 PSI (0.7 bar to 5.2 bar)
• High Pressure Sensor Range - from 45 PSI to 165 PSI (3.08 bar to 11.3 bar)
Full Programming Mode
The Full Programming Mode is used to independently program the following:
A. Sensor ID Numbers
B. Cold Inflation Pressure (CIP) Settings
C. Critical Low Pressure Alert Setting
D. Pressure Deviation Alert Setting
E. High Temperature Alert Setting
F. Metric or Imperial Units Selection
G. Slope Value Setting
H. Low Pressure Alert Setting (For Basic Receiver without Full Function Display only)
To enter the Full Programming Mode, power on the system and then press and holding the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds. The screen should now show a snow flake icon, computer icon and a designation of pressure units (PSI or Bar). Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the various programming screens. Programming instructions for each screen are outlined below.
A. Programming Sensor ID Numbers
All SmarTire pre-configured kits have a receiver that has been programmed with the ID numbers of the sensors included in the kit. If, for various reasons, a sensor needs to be replaced, the new ID number must be programmed into the receiver.
When programming a new sensor ID number, the installer must first configure the receiver so that it is ready to receive a new ID number and then make the sensor transmit its ID number. Provoking transmissions can be accomplished by moving the vehicle to activate the sensors and then deflating the tire (sensors are motion activated and auto transmit when triggered by a pressure loss) or by using the SmarTire LF Initiator Tool. Complete instructions for programming sensor ID numbers using both methods for provoking transmissions are provided below.
Programming Sensor ID Numbers Using an LF Initiator
1. After connecting the DPT and installing all sensors, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the learn icon (a profile of a head containing a question mark) and a computer icon appear on the display. The DPT is now displaying the Sensor ID Number Programming screen.

3. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to select Sensor ID Number Programming and the ten possible wheel positions for the primary vehicle will be displayed (windshield appearing on screen). The pre-programmed sensor positions are indicated by darkened tire icons.
4. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle to the desired wheel position. The flashing tire outline indicates the selected wheel position. When toggled past the primary vehicle, the display will show possible wheel positions for a tow-behind vehicle. Continue toggling past the axles of the two-behind vehicle to once again access the primary vehicle.
5. If a sensor ID number is already programmed in the selected wheel position (indicated by a filled in tire icon and an ‘X’ on the screen next to the ‘MODE’ button), the ID number must be erased before a new ID number can be programmed. Press the ‘MODE’ button to erase the pre-programmed ID number (the ‘X’ will disappear) and then press the ‘MODE’ button again to select the wheel position for programming (check mark will be displayed). If a sensor ID number does not exist at the selected location, simply press the ‘MODE’ button once to select the highlighted wheel position for programming.
6. The receiver is now ready to receive the new sensor ID number. Turn on the LF Initiator Tool and go to the tire that contains the new sensor to be programmed into the receiver. Position the transmission end of the LF Initiator Tool against the sidewall of the tire near the valve stem (sensor should be installed near the valve stem). Press the ‘LEARN’ button on the LF Initiator Tool and the sensor will transmit its ID number to the receiver. Be sure to hold the tool in place until the light turns off to ensure the signal has reached the sensor. The tire icon on the display will turn black and the screen will display an ‘X’ when the transmission has been received.
7. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle to the next wheel position to be programmed (if required) and repeat steps 4 - 6 until all sensor ID numbers that need to be programmed are programmed into their respective locations in the receiver.
8. Press the ‘SET’ button to save all of the sensor ID numbers and their locations into the receiver’s memory.
9. When complete, press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
NOTE:
If ‘ERR’ appears on the screen and two or more tire icons are flashing, two wheel locations have been programmed with the same sensor ID. If two identical sensor ID numbers are programmed, press the ‘TIRE’ button to select one of the flashing locations for reprogramming and then repeat steps 3 - 6 at the flashing locations. Repeat for the second location to ensure that the correct sensor ID numbers are programmed. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the revised sensor ID numbers into the receiver.
Programming Sensor ID Numbers Using the ‘Pressure Change’ Method
1. After installing all of the sensors, activate them by driving the vehicle above 15 MPH for 1 – 2 minutes. After stopping the vehicle the sensors will be active for 15 minutes; sensing tire pressures every 12 seconds and randomly transmitting data ever 3 - 6 minutes or when they detect a 3 PSI drop in pressure. You now have 15 minutes to program the receiver or the vehicle will need to be moved again.
2. Power off the system, connect the DPT and then power it back on. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
3. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the learn icon (a profile of a head containing a question mark) and a computer icon appear on the display. The DPT is now showing the Sensor ID Number Programming screen.

7. The receiver is now ready to receive the new sensor ID number. Deflate the tire that contains the sensor to be programmed by approximately 5 PSI (must be deflated continuously). Do not deflate the tire below 10 PSI. The tire icon on the display will turn black and the screen will display an ‘X’ when the transmission has been received.
8. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle to the next wheel position to be programmed (if required) and repeat steps 5 - 7 until all sensor ID numbers that need to be programmed are programmed into their respective locations in the receiver.
9. Press the ‘SET’ button to save all of the sensor ID numbers and their locations into the receiver’s memory.
10. When complete, press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
11. Ensure all tires are inflated to the proper pressure.
NOTE:
If ‘ERR’ appears on the screen and two or more tire icons are flashing, either two wheel locations have been programmed with the same sensor ID numbers or different pressure range sensors are detected on the same axle. If two identical sensor ID numbers are programmed, press the ‘TIRE’ button to select one of the flashing locations for reprogramming and then repeat steps 5 - 8 at the flashing locations. Repeat for the second location to ensure that the correct sensor ID numbers are programmed. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the revised sensor ID numbers into the receiver. If different pressure range sensors are installed onto the same axle of a vehicle, the incorrect ones will need to be replaced before the receiver will allow the Sensor ID Number Programming Function to close.
B. Programming Cold Inflation Pressure (CIP) Settings
The Cold Inflation Pressure (CIP) Setting screen is used to customize the default CIP setting to a specific vehicle.
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the snowflake icon, the computer icon and a designation of pressure units (PSI or Bar) appear on the display. The DPT is now displaying the CIP Setting Programming screen.

3. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to select CIP Setting Programming.
4. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle between the pre-programmed axles.
5. Press the ‘MODE’ button to select the desired axle. When selected, the pre-programmed CIP setting for that axle will be displayed.
6. Increase the CIP value by pressing the ‘TIRE’ button or decrease the value by pressing the ‘MODE’ button.
7. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the new CIP value.
8. Repeat steps 4 - 7 until all axles to be programmed are set to the desired CIP values.
9. When complete, press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
NOTE:
In the Full Programming Mode, changing the CIP does not affect other alert parameters for the axle.
C. Programming the Critical Low Pressure Alert Setting
The Critical Low Pressure Alert is the second warning of an under-inflated tire. Its default setting triggers the alert when the contained air pressure of a tire falls to a pre-set value below the CIP setting.
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the flat tire icon, the computer icon and a designation of pressure units (PSI or Bar) appear on the display. The DPT is now displaying the Critical Low Pressure Alert Setting Programming screen.

3. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to select Critical Low Pressure Alert Setting Programming.
4. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle between the pre-programmed axles.
5. Press the ‘MODE’ button to select the desired axle. When selected, the pre-programmed Critical Low Pressure Alert setting for that axle will be displayed.
6. Increase the Critical Low Pressure Alert value by pressing the ‘TIRE’ button or decrease the value by pressing the ‘MODE’ button.
7. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the new Critical Low Pressure Alert value.
8. Repeat steps 4 - 7 until all axles to be programmed are set to the desired Critical Low Pressure Alert values.
9. When complete, press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
D. Programming the Pressure Deviation Alert Setting
The Pressure Deviation Alert Setting is the first warning of an under-inflated tire. Its default setting triggers the alert when the contained air pressure of a tire deviates plus or minus ten (10) PSI.
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the plus and minus icons, the computer icon and a designation of pressure units (PSI or Bar) appear on the display. The DPT is now displaying the Pressure Deviation Alert Setting Programming screen.

3. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to select Pressure Deviation Alert Setting Programming. The pre-programmed Pressure Deviation Alert setting for the vehicle will now be displayed.
4. Increase the Pressure Deviation Alert value by pressing the ‘TIRE’ button or decrease the value by pressing the ‘MODE’ button.
5. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the new Pressure Deviation Alert value.
6. Press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
NOTE: The Pressure Deviation Alert setting applies to all axle locations. The Pressure Deviation Alert can be turned off by setting this parameter to 0 PSI.
E. Programming the High Temperature Alert Setting
The High Temperature Alert warns the driver when a tire’s temperature exceeds a set level. SmarTire pre-configured systems for passenger vehicles have a default setting of 176°F (80°C). SmarTire pre-configured systems for RVs, buses and commercial vehicles have a default setting of 195°F (90°C).
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the caution triangle icon, the computer icon and a designation of temperature units (°F or °C) appear on the display. The DPT is now displaying the High Temperature Alert Setting Programming screen.

3. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to select High Temperature Alert Setting Programming. The pre-programmed High Temperature Alert setting for the vehicle will now be displayed.
4. Increase the High Temperature Alert value by pressing the ‘TIRE’ button or decrease the value by pressing the ‘MODE’ button.
5. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the new High Temperature Alert value.
6. Press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
NOTE: The High Temperature Alert setting applies to all axle locations. The High Temperature Alert can be turned off by setting this parameter below 30° C or 86° F.
F. Setting Display Values in Metric or Imperial Units
SmarTire receivers can send information to the display in either metric or imperial units. Use the Metric or Imperial Units Programming screen to customize the type of units displayed.
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the computer icon, the current designation of pressure units (PSI or Bar) and the current designation of temperature units (°F or °C) appear on the display.

3. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to select Metric or Imperial Units Programming.
4. Press the ‘TIRE’ button repeatedly until the desired pressure and temperature units combination appears on the screen. The four following combinations of pressure and temperature are available as selections: PSI & F, Bar & F, Bar & C and PSI & C.
5. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the new settings.
6. Press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
NOTE: The Metric or Imperial Unit setting applies to all axle locations.
G. Programming the Slope Setting
The ‘SLOPE’ value setting influences the equation calculating the relative pressure increase or decrease as a function of a tire’s contained air temperature. As a rule for radial ply tires, the SLOPE value is determined by adding ten (10) units to the ‘PLACARD’ CIP setting (in PSI) as illustrated in the table below:

If non radial ply tires are installed on the vehicle (bias ply tires are very rare in North America and Europe), the Slope value may need to be adjusted to a value other than 10 units more than the recommended CIP. Contact SmarTire Technical Support for assistance setting Slope values for non radial tires.
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the computer icon and ‘SL’ appears on the display. The DPT is now displaying the Slope Setting Programming screen.

4. Press the ‘TIRE’ button to toggle between the pre-programmed axles.
5. Press the ‘MODE’ button to select the desired axle. When selected, the pre-programmed Slope setting for that axle will be displayed.
6. Increase the Slope value by pressing the ‘TIRE’ button or decrease the value by pressing the ‘MODE’ button.
7. Press the ‘SET’ button to save the new Slope value.
8. Repeat steps 4 - 7 until all axles to be programmed are set to the desired Slope values.
9. When complete, press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
H. Programming the Low Pressure Alert Setting
The Low Pressure Alert exists on systems that do not include the SmarTire Full Function Display only. It is triggered when the contained air pressure inside a tire falls to a pre-set value.
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than two (2) seconds and less than five (5) seconds to enter the Full Programming Mode.
2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the different programming screens until the caution triangle icon, the computer icon and a designation of pressure units (PSI or Bar) appear on the display. The DPT is now displaying the Low Pressure Alert Setting Programming screen.

8. Repeat steps 4 - 7 until all axles to be programmed are set to the desired Low Pressure Alert values.
9. When complete, press the ‘SET’ button to exit.
Default Recovery Mode
The Default Recovery Mode is used to reset a receiver to its factory default settings and / or to replace corrupted profiles.
Factory Configuration (F-C): This (rarely used) programming screen can be used to restore all of the receiver’s settings to their factory defaults. Use it if the Full Function Display regularly stalls when the system powers on. Customized settings will need to be reprogrammed after activating this function.
Standard Profile (S-P): This programming screen can be used to erase a receiver’s software profile and replace it with an uncorrupted version. CAUTION: This programming function will erase sensor ID numbers and all other custom settings from the receiver. Once erased, all data will need to be reprogrammed and settings reconfigured for the system to function normally. Reset the receiver’s Standard Profile when the system is not functioning properly after using the Factory Configuration function.
Follow the steps below to reset the receiver to its original default factory configuration or to replace the existing software profile with a new standard profile.
1. After connecting the DPT, power on the system. Press and hold the ‘SET’ button for more than five (5) seconds to enter the Default Recover Mode. When in the Default Recover Mode, the display will show ‘F-C’ and the computer icon.

2. Press the ‘MODE’ button to toggle between the Factory Configuration screen (F-C) and the Standard Profile screen.
3. Push the ‘TIRE’ button to select either screen.
4. Push the ‘TIRE’ button to activate the programming function. When resetting to Factory Configuration, the receiver will be reprogrammed with the original default settings and the DTP display will return to the first Default Recovery Mode screen. When resetting to a Standard Profile, the receiver will be reprogrammed with a new standard profile. All original programming including sensor ID numbers and custom settings will be erased. The DPT will then enter the Full Programming Mode ready to receive the new sensor ID numbers.

Introduzione
Il DPT SmarTire (Strumento di Programmazione per Rivenditori) è progettato per facilitare la programmazione del Ricevitore Smartire in dotazione a Veicoli Passeggeri o, alternativamente, del Ricevitore Schermato che trova la sua collocazione su Veicoli Ricreazionali - tipo camper, caravan - autobus o altri veicoli commerciali. Il Display di tale dispositivo non può essere utilizzato come un normale Display Multifunzione, bensì per la sola programmazione.
Tipologia dei Ricevitori Programmabili mediante l’uso del DPT
1. 200.0087 - Ricevitori Schermati (il cui utilizzo si colloca su una fascia di Veicoli Ricreazionali (tipo camper, caravan), autobus o altri veicoli commerciali.

Modalità di Funzionamento del DPT
1. Modalità Regolazione della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo(CIP): Questa modalità di programmazione permette la modifica delle impostazioni della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo mediante l’aggiornamento in tempo reale di ogni altra impostazione direttamente collegata ai valori di default. Tali impostazioni comprendono la Notifica della Bassa Pressione di Gonfiaggio, la Segnalazione di Bassa Pressione Critica, la Rilevazione in caso di Scostamento nei Valori della Temperatura delle gomme, nonché la Rilevazione del Gradiente.
2. Modalità di Programmazione Completa: Selezionando questa modalità si accede alla programmazione dei singoli parametri dei pneumatici, tra cui la programmazione delle cifre identificative dei nuovi sensori e la loro successiva installazione su punti diversi delle ruote.
3. Modalità di Ripristino Predefinita: Questa modalità consente l’azzeramento di tutti i parametri del sistema e il ripristino delle impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite nel caso in cui la programmazione originaria del dispositivo risulti compromessa.
Spie e Tasti di Controllo del DPT
Funzionamento del DPT: Installazione
1. Assicurarsi che il ricevitore non sia collegato alla rete elettrica.
2. A seconda del ricevitore che si intende programmare, seguire le istruzioni di seguito riportate:
a. Ricevitore Convenzionale: rimuovere la lunetta frontale per poter accedere al connettore cavo del display.
b. Ricevitore Convenzionale provvisto di un Display Multifunzione Integrato: scollegare il display dal ricevitore al fine di stabilire la connessione utilizzando il connettore cavo del display.
c. Ricevitore Convenzionale o Ricevitore Schermato provvisto di un Display Multifunzione con Controllo Remoto: scollegare dal ricevitore il cavo display preesistente in modo da inserire il connettore cavo del display.
3. Collegare il cavo display del DPT all’ingresso posto sul retro del DPT, quindi collegarlo al ricevitore.
4. Ripristinare lo stato di alimentazione elettrica del ricevitore e accendere il sistema. Al momento dell’accensione, il DPT emetterà un doppio bip visualizzando brevemente tutti gli elementi dello schermo. Successivamente, effettuerà un controllo sul ricevitore per individuare possibili difetti di fabbrica. (In caso di anomalie, apparirà sul display una segnalazione di errore con la dicitura E2; per risolvere il problema si dovrà ricorrere al ripristino delle impostazioni di default mediante Modalità di Ripristino Predefinita).
5. A programmazione ultimata, riporre il ricevitore, disconnettere il DPT, e ripristinare lo stato del sistema alla sua configurazione originale.
Modalità Regolazione della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP)
1. Successivamente all’attivazione del sistema, premere il tasto 'SET' una sola volta (avendo cura di tenerlo premuto per un lasso di tempo inferiore a due (2) secondi) per accedere alla Modalità Regolazione della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP). Sullo schermo dovrebbe visualizzarsi l’icona di un fiocco di neve, l’indicazione della pressione (espressa in PSI o Bar) e le posizioni preimpostate delle ruote trasferite mediante la raffigurazione del veicolo. Selezionando gli assi motore desiderati apparirà altresì l’icona degli assi prescelti evidenziata da riempimento nero. A questo punto, sarà possibile regolare, per ognuno degli assi, i parametri di default relativi alla Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP).
2. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare gli assi preimpostati. A seconda della tipologia del ricevitore preconfigurato che si sta per programmare (Convenzionale o Schermato) è possibile effettuare la programmazione dei sei assi complessivi raggruppati in due coppie da tre unità. La prima coppia si riferisce ai veicoli del tipo trattore, la seconda coppia ai rimorchi o traini. E’ possibile selezionare solo quegli assi su cui siano stati programmati i sensori. A questo punto la raffigurazione del veicolo restituisce l’immagine o del trattore o del rimorchio come sotto riportato. Ogni volta che si preme il tasto TIRE, il display visualizzerà l’asse successivo disposto in sequenza. E’ bene assicurarsi di aver selezionato la coppia di assi desiderata per la programmazione della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP). Ad esempio, se si intende programmare la pressione sulla parte trainante del veicolo, accertarsi che il display visualizzi appunto il trattore.
Trattore Rimorchio o Traino
3. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare l’asse desiderato. Sul display verrà visualizzato in tempo reale il valore relativo alla Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) riferito all’asse prescelto.
4. Premendo il tasto 'TIRE' si aumenterà il valore della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP), viceversa, premendo il tasto 'MODE' si diminuirà tale valore.
5. Una volta che il valore desiderato verrà visualizzato, premere il tasto 'SET' per memorizzare l’impostazione.
6. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare l’asse successivo che si intende programmare (sempre che sia richiesto) e ripetere le istruzioni contenute dal punto 2 al punto 5 fino a quando la configurazione di tutti gli assi non risulti impostata sui valori di Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) desiderati.
7. A programmazione ultimata, premere il tasto 'SET' per uscire dalla modalità Regolazione della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP).
NOTA:
• Le impostazioni della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP) vengono specificate dalla casa produttrice e appaiono generalmente su una piastrina fissata in punti ben definiti del veicolo e/o nel Manuale destinato agli Operatori.
• La Modalità di Programmazione della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo del dispositivo in questione stabilisce i seguenti livelli soglia:
a. Il Sensore dell’Alta Pressione rileva: - l’Allarme di Bassa Pressione Critica, ovvero quando la Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) è inferiore al 10%; - la Rilevazione in caso di Scostamento nei Valori della Temperatura delle gomme, ovvero quando la Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) registra valori che si aggirano intorno ai +/- 10PSI; nonché la Rilevazione del Gradiente nel caso in cui la Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) si attesti su +10;.
b. Il Sensore della Bassa Pressione rileva: - la Segnalazione della Bassa Pressione di Gonfiaggio, ovvero quando la Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) è inferiore al 15%; - l’Allarme di Bassa Pressione Critica, ovvero quando la Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) è inferiore al 20%; - la Rilevazione in caso di Scostamento nei Valori della Temperatura delle gomme, nel caso in cui la Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) registri valori che si aggirano intorno ai +/- 10PSI; - la Rilevazione del Gradiente allorché la Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP) si attesti su +10;
c. Se si desidera impostare ulteriori livelli soglia, si dovrà ricorrere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa (vedi sezione relativa a tale Modalità). Il sistema di sensori di alta e bassa pressione adattabile agli assi deve necessariamente comprendere un range di valori riferito alla Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP) che è il seguente:
• Range dei Sensori di Bassa Pressione: da 10 PSI a 76 PSI (ovvero da 0.7 bar a 5.2 bar)
• Range dei Sensori di Alta Pressione: da 45 PSI a 165 PSI (ovvero da 3.08 bar a 11.3 bar)
Modalità di Programmazione Completa
La Modalità di Programmazione Completa si utilizza per programmare in maniera indipendente i seguenti parametri:
A. Cifre Identificative dei Sensori
B. Impostazione del Gonfiaggio di Pressione a Freddo (CIP)
C. Impostazione dell’Allarme di Bassa Pressione Critica
D. Allarme di Scostamento nei Valori della Pressione
E. Impostazione dell’Allarme di Elevata Temperatura
F. Selezione delle Unità di Misura Decimali o Anglosassoni
G. Impostazione del Valore del Gradiente
H. Impostazioni dell’Allarme di bassa pressione (solo per Ricevitori Convenzionali sprovvisti di Display Multifunzione)
Per selezionare la Modalità di Programmazione Completa, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5). Sullo schermo dovrebbe visualizzarsi l’icona di un fiocco di neve, l’icona del computer e l’indicazione della pressione (espressa in PSI o Bar). Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare la schermata che si intende programmare. Per ogni schermata vengono fornite di seguito le istruzioni utili alla programmazione.
A. Programmazione dei Numeri Identificativi dei Sensori
Tutti i kit preconfigurati SmarTire contengono un ricevitore programmato con le cifre identificative dei sensori inclusi nel kit. Se, per varie ragioni, dovesse essere necessario sostituire un sensore, si dovrà programmare il ricevitore con le nuove cifre di identificazione.
Durante la programmazione del nuovo numero identificativo dei sensori, l’installatore dovrà anzitutto configurare il ricevitore in modo che questo possa accogliere il nuovo numero e, successivamente, trasmetterlo. La trasmissione avviene attraverso l’induzione del veicolo al movimento che attiva i sensori e, successivamente, determina la perdita di pressione del pneumatico (i sensori si attivano col movimento e auto trasmettono quando interviene una diminuzione della pressione) o, ancora, mediante l’uso del Trasmettitore a Bassa Frequenza SmarTire. Le istruzioni complete per programmare i numeri identificativi dei sensori sono fornite di seguito, esse si applicano a entrambi i metodi di trasmissione.
Programmazione dei Numeri Identificativi dei Sensori mediante l’Uso del Trasmettitore a Bassa Frequenza
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT ed aver installato tutti i sensori, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) per accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate da programmare fino a quando non apparirà sul display il pittogramma LEARN (un profilo umano contenente un punto di domanda) e l’icona del computer. A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla Programmazione dei Numeri Identificativi dei Sensori.

3. Per selezionare la Programmazione dei Numeri Identificativi dei Sensori premere il tasto 'TIRE'; il display restituirà l’immagine del veicolo trainante (in questo caso apparirà sullo schermo il parabrezza) evidenziando le 10 ruote di cui, potenzialmente, è dotato il veicolo. I punti in cui sono stati collocati i sensori, precedentemente programmati, saranno indicati dalla rappresentazione grafica di pneumatici con riempimento degli spazi.
4. Per selezionare il punto della ruota desiderata, premere il tasto 'TIRE'. Il display restituirà l’immagine del pneumatico selezionato mediante un effetto lampeggiante. Una volta effettuata la selezione sul veicolo trainante, il display visualizzerà le posizioni riferite alle ruote del rimorchio. Per accedere nuovamente al veicolo trainante è necessario continuare a selezionare gli assi del rimorchio fino al loro esaurimento.
5. Nel caso in cui il numero identificativo di un sensore sia stato già impostato sulla ruota selezionata (che sarà a sua volta indicata dall’icona del pneumatico con riempimento dello spazio e da una X collocata accanto al tasto 'MODE') e si voglia impostare un nuovo numero identificativo, è opportuno cancellare quello preesistente premendo il tasto 'MODE' (la X scomparirà); premendo nuovamente lo stesso tasto, sarà possibile programmare la posizione della ruota desiderata (un segno di spunta apparirà sul display). Se alla selezione effettuata non corrisponde alcun numero identificativo del sensore, premere una sola volta il tasto 'MODE' per accedere alla programmazione della ruota evidenziata.
6. Il ricevitore è ora pronto ad accogliere il nuovo numero identificativo del sensore. Attivare il Trasmettitore a Bassa Frequenza e avvicinarsi al pneumatico su cui è alloggiato il nuovo sensore che dovrà essere programmato sul ricevitore. Posizionare l’estremità del Trasmettitore a Bassa frequenza lungo la parete laterale del pneumatico, accanto allo stelo valvola (il sensore va installato appunto vicino allo stelo valvola). Premendo il tasto 'LEARN' del Trasmettitore il sensore trasmetterà al ricevitore la sua cifra identificativa. Si raccomanda di mantenere la posizione fino a quando il segnale non avrà raggiunto il sensore, determinando lo spegnimento della spia luminosa. La schermata restituirà l’icona del pneumatico con il colore di riempimento nero e, a trasmissione acquisita, verrà visualizzata una 'X'.
7. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare la posizione della ruota successiva che si intende programmare (sempre che sia richiesto) e ripetere le istruzioni contenute dal punto 4 al punto 6 fino a quando non sia stata effettuata la configurazione di tutte le cifre identificative dei sensori rispetto agli alloggiamenti deputati del ricevitore.
8. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le impostazioni nella memoria del ricevitore.
9. A programmazione ultimata, premere il tasto 'SET'.
NOTA:
Se sullo schermo appare il messaggio 'ERR' e due o più icone di pneumatici iniziano a lampeggiare, vorrà dire che lo stesso sensore (con lo stesso numero identificativo) è stato programmato su due posizioni diverse della ruota. In questo caso, premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare una delle due icone lampeggianti che si dovrà, evidentemente, riprogrammare applicando le istruzioni contenute dal punto 3 al punto 6. Per assicurarsi di aver programmato correttamente le cifre identificative del sensore è opportuno ripetere l’operazione anche sull’altra icona lampeggiante. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni sul ricevitore.
Programmazione dei Numeri Identificativi dei Sensori mediante il metodo Regolazione della Pressione
1. L’attivazione dei sensori, dopo che siano stati installati, avviene inducendo il veicolo al movimento per 1 –2 minuti ad una velocità di circa 15 miglia all’ora. I sensori continuano a dialogare nei 15 minuti successivi al blocco del veicolo, monitorando la pressione delle gomme ogni 12 secondi e trasmettendo dati ogni 3 –6 minuti; il comportamento dei sensori resta il medesimo anche quando questi rilevano un calo della pressione pari a 3 PSI. Da questo momento si hanno a disposizione 15 minuti per programmare il ricevitore, in caso contrario si dovrà indurre nuovamente il veicolo al movimento.
2. Spegnere il sistema, collegare il DPT e riaccenderlo tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
3. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate da programmare fino a quando non apparirà sul display il pittogramma LEARN (un profilo umano contenente un punto di domanda) e l’icona del computer. A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla programmazione dei numeri identificativi dei sensori.

I punti in cui sono stati collocati i sensori, precedentemente programmati, saranno indicati dalla rappresentazione grafica di pneumatici con riempimento degli spazi.
5. Per selezionare la posizione della ruota desiderata, premere il tasto 'TIRE'. Il display restituirà l’immagine del pneumatico selezionato mediante un effetto lampeggiante. Una volta effettuata la selezione sul veicolo trainante, il display visualizzerà le ruote del rimorchio. Per accedere nuovamente al veicolo trainante è necessario continuare a selezionare gli assi del rimorchio fino al loro esaurimento.
6. Nel caso in cui il numero identificativo di un sensore sia stato già impostato sulla posizione della ruota selezionata (che sarà a sua volta indicata dall’icona del pneumatico con riempimento dello spazio e da una X collocata accanto al tasto 'MODE') e si voglia impostare un nuovo numero identificativo, è opportuno cancellare quello preesistente premendo il tasto 'MODE' (la X scomparirà) e, premendo nuovamente lo stesso tasto, sarà possibile accedere alla posizione della ruota che si intende programmare (un segno di spunta apparirà sul display). Se alla selezione effettuata non corrisponde alcun numero identificativo del sensore, premere una sola volta il tasto 'MODE' per accedere alla programmazione della ruota evidenziata.
7. Il ricevitore è ora pronto ad accogliere il nuovo numero identificativo del sensore. Sgonfiare di circa 5 PSI (l’operazione deve essere continua) il pneumatico su cui è stato alloggiato il sensore da programmare. Mai provocare una diminuzione nei valori della pressione inferiore ai 10 PSI. La schermata restituirà l’icona del pneumatico con il colore di riempimento nero e, a trasmissione acquisita, verrà visualizzata una X.
8. Premere il tasto ''TIRE per selezionare la posizione della ruota successiva che si intende programmare (sempre che sia richiesto) e ripetere le istruzioni contenute dal punto 4 al punto 6 fino a quando non sia stata effettuata la configurazione di tutte le cifre identificative dei sensori rispetto agli alloggiamenti deputati del ricevitore.
9. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le impostazioni nella memoria del ricevitore.
10. A programmazione ultimata, premere il tasto 'SET'.
11. Accertarsi che tutti i pneumatici abbiano la giusta pressione di gonfiaggio.
NOTA:
Se sullo schermo appare il messaggio 'ERR' e due o più icone di pneumatici iniziano a lampeggiare, vorrà dire: o che lo stesso sensore è stato programmato su due ruote, o che sono stati rilevati, sul medesimo asse, sensori con range di pressione diversi. In questo caso, premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare una delle due ruote che si dovrà, evidentemente, riprogrammare applicando le istruzioni contenute dal punto 5 al punto 8. Per assicurarsi di aver programmato correttamente le cifre identificative del sensore è opportuno ripetere l’operazione anche sull’altra icona lampeggiante. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni sul ricevitore. Nel caso in cui sul medesimo asse siano stati installati sensori con range di pressione diversi, sarà opportuno, prima che il ricevitore possa chiudere la Funzione di Programmazione dei Numeri Identificativi del Sensore, sostituire quei sensori che supportano dei dati incorretti.
B. Programmazione delle Impostazioni della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP)
La schermata relativa alle Impostazioni della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP) viene utilizzata per personalizzare le impostazioni di default della Pressione di Gonfiaggio (CIP).
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate di programmazione fino a quando non apparirà sul display l’icona del fiocco di neve, l’icona del computer e l’indicazione della pressione (espressa in PSI o Bar). A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla Programmazione delle Impostazioni della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP).

3. Per selezionare le Impostazioni della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP), premere il tasto 'TIRE'.
4. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare gli assi preimpostati.
5. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare l’asse desiderato. Sul display verrà visualizzata l’impostazione relativa alla Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP) riferita all’asse prescelto.
6. Premendo il tasto 'TIRE' si aumenterà il valore della Pressione di Gonfiaggio, viceversa, premendo il tasto 'MODE' si diminuirà tale valore.
7. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni.
8. Ripetere le istruzioni contenute dal punto 4 al punto 7 fino a quando gli assi da programmare non siano stati impostati secondo i valori della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP) desiderati.
9. A programmazione ultimata, premere il tasto 'SET'.
NOTA:
Nella Modalità di Programmazione Completa, la variazione dei valori della Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP) non influisce sugli altri parametri di segnalazione riferiti agli assi.
C. Programmazione delle Impostazioni di Allarme di Bassa Pressione Critica
L’Allarme di Bassa pressione Critica rappresenta il secondo pericolo di un pneumatico sgonfio. Le impostazioni di default rilevano l’anomalia quando la pressione dell’aria contenuta nella gomma scende al di sotto dei valori CIP fino a toccare un limite-soglia preimpostato.
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate di programmazione fino a quando non apparirà sul display l’icona del pneumatico sgonfio, l’icona del computer e l’indicazione della pressione (espressa in PSI o Bar). A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla Programmazione delle Impostazioni di Allarme di Bassa Pressione Critica.

3. Per selezionare le Impostazioni relative all’Allarme di Bassa Pressione Critica, premere il tasto 'TIRE'.
4. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare gli assi preimpostati.
5. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare l’asse desiderato. Sul display verrà visualizzata l’impostazione relativa all’Allarme di Bassa Pressione Critica riferita all’asse prescelto.
6. Premendo il tasto 'TIRE' si aumenterà il valore della Bassa Pressione, viceversa, premendo il tasto 'MODE' si diminuirà tale valore.
7. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni.
8. Ripetere le istruzioni contenute dal punto 4 al punto 7 fino a quando tutti gli assi da programmare non siano stati impostati secondo i valori di segnalazione desiderati.
9. A programmazione ultimata, premere il tasto 'SET'.
D. Programmazione dell’Impostazione dell’Allarme di Scostamento della Pressione
L’Impostazione dell’Allarme di Scostamento della Pressione è la prima anomalia di un pneumatico caratterizzato da eccessivo abbassamento della pressione. Le impostazioni di default segnalano l’anomalia nel caso in cui il valore della pressione si scosti dal range approssimativo di ±dieci (10) PSI.
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate di programmazione fino a quando non apparirà sul display l’icona ±, l’icona del computer e l’indicazione della pressione (espressa in PSI o Bar). A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla programmazione delle impostazioni dell’allarme di scostamento della pressione.

3. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare la programmazione relativa all’Impostazione dell’Allarme di Scostamento della Pressione. Sul display verrà visualizzata l’impostazione predefinita del parametro in questione.
4. Premendo il tasto 'TIRE' si aumenterà il valore dell’Allarme di Scostamento, viceversa, premendo il tasto 'MODE' si diminuirà tale valore.
5. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni.
6. A programmazione ultimata premere il tasto 'SET'.
NOTA:
Le impostazioni dell’Allarme di Scostamento della Pressione si riferiscono a tutti i punti degli assi. Lo spegnimento di tale Allarme avviene quando si riconduce il parametro sul valore 0 PSI.
E. Programmazione dell’Impostazione dell’Allarme di Temperatura Elevata
L’Allarme di Elevata Temperatura segnala al guidatore che la temperatura all’interno del pneumatico ha superato il valore preimpostato. I sistemi preconfigurati SmarTire destinati ai veicoli passeggeri hanno un’impostazione di default pari a 176°F (80°C). Quelli destinati all’uso commerciale e ricreazionale hanno un’impostazione di default di 195°F (90°C).
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate di programmazione fino a quando non apparirà sul display l’icona del triangolo, l’icona del computer e l’unità di misura della temperatura (espressa in °F o °C). A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla Programmazione dell’Impostazione dell’Allarme di Temperatura Elevata.

3. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare la Programmazione relativa all’Impostazione dell’Allarme di Temperatura Elevata. Sul display verrà visualizzata l’impostazione predefinita del parametro in questione.
4. Premendo il tasto 'TIRE' si aumenterà il valore dell’Allarme di Temperatura Elevata, viceversa, premendo il tasto 'MODE' si diminuirà tale valore.
5. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni.
6. A programmazione ultimata premere il tasto 'SET'.
NOTA:
Le Impostazioni dell’Allarme di Temperatura Elevata si riferiscono a tutti i punti degli assi. Lo spegnimento di tale Allarme avviene quando si riconduce il parametro al di sotto dei 30°C o 86°F.
F. Impostazione del Display in unità di misura decimali o anglosassoni
I ricevitori SmarTire sono in grado di inviare informazioni al display sia in unità di misura Decimali che Anglosassoni. Utilizzando una delle due unità di misura, si potrà visualizzare il display nell’unità di misura desiderata.
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5), in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate di programmazione fino a quando non apparirà sul display l’icona del computer, l’indicazione della pressione (espressa in PSI o Bar) e l’indicazione, in tempo reale, della temperatura (espressa in °F o °C).

3. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare la Programmazione relativa all’Unità di Misura prescelta.
4. Premere ripetutamente il tasto 'TIRE' fino a quando non appariranno sullo schermo i valori combinati di temperatura e pressione. Le quattro combinazioni possibili di temperatura e pressione sono le seguenti: PSI e °F, Bar e °F, Bar e °C e, infine, PSI e °C.
5. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni.
6. A programmazione ultimata premere il tasto 'SET'.
NOTA:
Le impostazioni in Unità di misura Decimali o Anglosassoni si riferiscono a tutti i punti degli assi.
G. Programmazione del Valore del Gradiente
L’impostazione del valore del gradiente va ad influenzare l’equazione attraverso cui è possibile calcolare l’aumento o l’abbassamento della pressione in base alla temperatura contenuta all’interno del pneumatico. Generalmente, nel caso di pneumatici a tele radiali, il valore di gradiente viene determinato aggiungendo dieci (10) unità al parametro CIP (espresso in PSI) specificato nella piastrina come di seguito riportato:

Se il veicolo monta pneumatici a tele non radiali (i pneumatici a struttura diagonale sono assai rari in Nord America e in Europa) il valore del Gradiente non potrà più essere aumentato di dieci unità rispetto alla Pressione di Gonfiaggio a Freddo (CIP), ma dovrà essere corretto con un parametro diverso. Si raccomanda di contattare l’Assistenza Tecnica SmarTire.
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5), in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate di programmazione fino a quando non apparirà sul display l’icona del computer e la dicitura SL. A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla Programmazione dell’Impostazione del valore del Gradiente.

3. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare la Programmazione relativa al valore del Gradiente prescelto.
4. Premere il tasto T'IRE' per selezionare gli assi preimpostati.
5. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare l’asse desiderato. Sul display verrà visualizzata l’impostazione del valore del Gradiente relativa all’asse prescelto.
6. Premendo il tasto 'TIRE' si aumenterà il valore del Gradiente, viceversa, premendo il tasto 'MODE' si diminuirà tale valore.
7. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni.
8. Ripetere le istruzioni contenute dal punto 4 al punto 7 fino a quando non sia stata effettuata la programmazione di tutti gli assi secondo i valori del Gradiente desiderato.
9. A programmazione ultimata premere il tasto 'SET'.
H. Programmazione dell’Impostazione di Allarme di Bassa Pressione
L’Allarme di Bassa Pressione è previsto anche per quei sistemi che non sono muniti del Display Multifunzione SmarTire. L’attivazione avviene quando la pressione contenuta all’interno del pneumatico scende al di sotto del valore preimpostato.
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Programmazione Completa.
2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le diverse schermate di programmazione fino a quando non apparirà sul display l’icona del pericolo rappresentata da un triangolo, quella del computer e l’indicazione della pressione (espressa in PSI o Bar). A questo punto il DPT visualizzerà sul display la schermata relativa alla Programmazione dell’Impostazione di Allarme Bassa Pressione.

3. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare la Programmazione relativa all’Impostazione di Allarme di Bassa Pressione.
4. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare gli assi pre-impostati.
5. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare l’asse desiderato. Sul display verrà visualizzata l’Impostazione dell’Allarme di Bassa Pressione relativa all’asse prescelto.
6. Premendo il tasto 'TIRE' si aumenterà il valore dell’Allarme di Bassa Pressione, viceversa, premendo il tasto 'MODE' si diminuirà tale valore.
7. Premere il tasto 'SET' per salvare le nuove impostazioni.
8. Ripetere le istruzioni contenute dal punto 4 al punto 7 fino a quando non sia stata effettuata la programmazione di tutti gli assi secondo i valori di segnalazione desiderati.
9. A programmazione ultimata premere il tasto 'SET'.
Modalità di Ripristino Predefinita
Si ricorre alla Modalità di Ripristino Predefinita per ripristinare il ricevitore secondo le impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite e / o per sostituire eventuali parametri alterati.
Configurazione di Fabbrica (F-C): Questa programmazione si utilizza per ripristinare tutte le impostazioni del ricevitore secondo le impostazioni di fabbrica. Si consiglia di ricorrere a tale procedura se, all’accensione del sistema, il Display Multifunzione si blocca regolarmente. Successivamente all’attivazione di questa funzione sarà opportuno riprogrammare le impostazioni desiderate.
Profilo Standard (S-P): Questa programmazione si utilizza per cancellare dal ricevitore il software preesistente e sostituirlo con una versione vergine. ATTENZIONE: Questa funzione di programmazione cancellerà dal ricevitore i numeri identificativi dei sensori e ogni altra impostazione personalizzata. A cancellazione avvenuta, si dovranno riprogrammare tutti i dati e riconfigurare le impostazioni affinché il sistema operi regolarmente. Si raccomanda di ricorrere alla Modalità di Ripristino mediante Profilo Standard solo se il sistema non funziona bene, e comunque sempre dopo aver utilizzato la funzione Configurazione di Fabbrica.
Per ripristinare il ricevitore secondo le impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite o cancellare dal ricevitore il software preesistente seguire i passaggi di seguito riportati .
1. Dopo aver collegato il DPT, accendere il sistema tenendo premuto il tasto 'SET' per una frazione di tempo superiore a due (2) secondi e inferiore a cinque (5) in modo da accedere alla Modalità di Ripristino Predefinita. A questo punto apparirà sul display la dicitura F –C insieme all’icona del computer.

2. Premere il tasto 'MODE' per selezionare le due schermate da programmare, ovvero Configurazione di Fabbrica o Profilo Standard.
3. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per selezionare la schermata desiderata.
4. Premere il tasto 'TIRE' per attivare la funzione di programmazione. Se si utilizza la Configurazione di Fabbrica, il ricevitore verrà riprogrammato con le impostazioni di default originarie e il display del DPT ritornerà alla schermata iniziale, ovvero Modalità di Ripristino Predefinita. Se invece si sceglie la funzione Profilo Standard, il ricevitore verrà riprogrammato con un nuovo profilo standard. Tutte le impostazioni precedenti, tra cui quelle relative ai numeri identificativi dei sensori e ogni altra impostazione personalizzata, verranno cancellate. A questo punto il DPT dialogherà con la Modalità di Programmazione Completa affinché riceva i nuovi numeri identificativi dei sensori.
5. A programmazione ultimata premere il tasto 'SET'.
