Mettez le céleri et l'oignon dans la mijoteuse, recouvrez-les de la viande puis des ingrédients restants. Couvrez et faites cuire 9 à 12 heure à bas ou bien 4 à 6 heures à haut, en quel cas il vous faudra brasser le ragoût de temps à autre. 2 lbs venison stewing meat, cut into 1" cubes
Salt and pepper
3 stalks celery, sliced diagonally into 1" pieces
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 garlic cloved, minced
1 Tbsp parsley, minced
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup dry red wine
8 ounce can tomato sauce
9 ounce package frozen artichoke hearts (optional)
Season meat cubes with salt and pepper and brown lightly in 2 Tbsp butter or oil. Place celery and onion in slow cooker and top with meat followed by the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook 9 to 12 hours on Low or 4 to 6 hours on High, in which case you must stir the stew from time to time. Serve on rice or buttered noodles.

Nancy Lynn Bogar is a translator and language instructor based in Cornwall, Ontario. Her languages are English and Canadian French.
She is a member of the teaching faculty at St. Lawrence College Cornwall Campus, and in the past taught French and English at Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario and to members of the Canadian Border Services (IBET) as well as the RCMP in Cornwall, Ontario.
Nancy's previous work experience always included translation and interpretation in some capacity, from translating and interpreting menus and wine lists at food fairs (Ontario and Quebec) to telephone interpreting for partners at Price Waterhouse in London, England.
Nancy has lived in Ottawa, where she obtained a BA in English at the University of Ottawa and a diploma in Media Relations at Algonquin College; Montreal, where she attended McGill University; London, England, where she worked as a secretarial temp in the City; and Cornwall, Ontario, where in 1998 she obtained a diploma in Small Business Management.
Her specializations in interpretation and translation include patient charts, medical questionnaires, menus, cookbooks, food and wine, tourism, politics and current events, and marketing texts.
A particular interest is cookbooks; in 2008, Nancy translated À la di Stasio, a book based on a popular cooking show in Quebec.

Nancy is a member of the simultaneous interpretation team for the leading Canadian television news channel, and in this capacity was one of two interpreters to cover the 2008 federal election campaign in Canada.
