I was born in 1979, grew up in a multicultural environment in Porto, Portugal, and showed an interest in languages, cultures and the business world at a very early age.
After completing a degree in Business Administration, I studied a BA in Portuguese, Spanish and French Studies in the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. Later on I earned a BA in Portuguese and Spanish Studies in the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Nova University of Lisbon. At this time I also extended my knowledge of English (which I started learning since I was very young), as well as of Catalan and Italian. My love of languages drives me to be a constant language learner. I am always seeking to extend my knowledge, proof of which is that I recently started a Masters in Business Management and Marketing with ISEAD Business School and Chinese studies.
I started my professional career as a guide-interpreter and taught Portuguese and Spanish in companies and to foreign students for several years. I have also been a freelance translator, proofreader and interpreter since 1999.
I have been living in Seville, Spain, since 2007. I belong to the Spanish Association of Translators, Proofreaders and Interpreters (www.asetrad.org) and to the International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (www.aipti.org).
Alongside my work as a freelance translator and interpreter, I am currently involved in quality control, project management, business management, and professional, business and motivational coaching.
