I am half Italian and half Dutch and I lived most of my life in both Italy and The Netherlands. I have lived in the United States since 2002. Besides an excellent knowledge of the languages I translate and interpret, I also have an extensive knowledge of the cultures and cultural differences which sometimes might impair smooth communication.

In the past 10 years, my main occupation has been as an over-the-phone interpreter for a variety of businesses, mainly in the consumer finance, medical, and government assistance field. I also have been working as a certified in-person medical interpreter.

I have a Certificate in Massage Therapy (October 2006), and a Bachelor's degree in English (with a focus on Cultural and Media Studies) from UIC (May 2011).
