Excellent and highly reliable German to English translator. Fields of
expertise include medical, scientific, and academic translation. More
specifically, extensive experience with patents and medical records.
All computer equipment and dictionaries up to date. Rates and references
available on request. I use dictation software and have turnover rates of up
to 6,000 words per day.

BA in Chemistry with a minor in German from the University of California,
Berkeley, 1995. Extensive travel in Germany and elsewhere. Strong
knowledge of German colloquial language and slang. Freelance translator
since 1998, clients have included Bosch, Alcatel, EMS-Chemie AG, Tecan Trading AG, Transperfect, and many others. In-house
translator for Skjerven, Morrill, MacPherson, Franklin, and Friel, LLP, a
large San Jose patent-law firm, from 12/99 - 3/00. This was a long term
assignment working on a case related to semiconductor patents and involved
large numbers of documents.
