About me

Subtitles, TI, software documentation, software help, software localization, technical documents, technical manuals, marketing, contracts, personal documents, literary and arts documents (books, leaflets...), medical documents and others.


I have been a translator for more than years with an extensive experience in several fields and I have been a teacher, a translator and a proof-reader since then (see my CV point 6. OTHER POSITIONS).
I am a Portuguese native speaker and as you can see from my curriculum, I have extensive experience in translating from English, French, Spanish, German and Italian into Portuguese and from Portuguese into English and French. Although I am a Portuguese from Portugal I am very familiar with the Portuguese Brazilian because I have lived for some years in that country.
I have been working regularly with some translation companies in Portugal, Hong Kong and Macao and USA.
Concerning medical documents and other scientific works, I work in partnership with a doctor which is also an expert in this kind of translations..
As you can see from my CV, I have also been a Portuguese teacher for 22 years. The last five years, I've worked for the Institute Portuguese of the Orient.
Now, I am in Portugal working for the Portuguese Ministry of Education.
I have also a good knowledge of personal computers.
