Вчера вся страна узнала, что потенциальный преемник Путина в молодости увлекался тяжелым роком, а со своей супругой Светланой учился в параллельных классах.
Школа, в которой в 1973 г. маленький Медведев брал свои первые уроки, стала предметом пристального внимания журналистов. Вчера, как только стало известно о выдвижении Дмитрия Медведева кандидатом в президенты, его первые учителя решили устроить небольшую фотовыставку в честь потенциального главы государства. Директор школы Нина Музыкантова объявила знаменательную новость по громкой связи на все здание. А из вестибюля школы как раз в это время таинственным образом исчезла фотография первого вице-премьера, висевшая там несколько лет подряд. Учителя предположили, что кто-то прихватил ее в качестве сувенира.
Корреспонденты "Комсомольской правды" встретились с Верой Борисовной Смирновой - учительницей начальной школы, некогда приложившей руку к обучению и воспитанию нынешнего первого вице-премьера. До сих пор она ни разу не давала интервью о своем знаменитом ученике, но теперь решилась рассказать о том, как проходили его первые школьные годы в средней школе № 305 питерского района Купчино.
По словам Веры Борисовны, Дмитрий пришел в 1 "Б" хорошо подготовленным, умел бегло читать и неплохо писал, поэтому ему часто доставались особые задания - например, прочесть какую-нибудь книгу и рассказать о ней одноклассникам. Будущий политик изводил педагогов вопросами, причем порой такими неожиданными, что ставил взрослых в тупик. Смирнова вспоминает, как ученик однажды спросил ее, какое водоизмещение у крейсера "Аврора", и той пришлось рыться в справочниках в поисках ответа.
Первая учительница Дмитрия Медведева говорит, что он уже в первом классе решил стать юристом, когда вырастет, хотя сама преподавательница была уверена в другом: по ее мнению, мальчику предстояло заняться наукой. Такое же будущее предрекала юному Дмитрию и другая его учительница, Ирина Григоровская, преподававшая математику. По ее словам, Медведев отдавал предпочтение точным наукам, хотя не пренебрегал и гуманитарными предметами.
Усидчивость и трудолюбие не мешали Дмитрию проявлять недюжинные способности и на уроках физкультуры: он был чемпионом школы по подтягиванию на турнике, да и вообще занудой не слыл, хотя для окраинного района был подростком нетипичным - не матерился, не дрался и не хулиганил. И не случайно из всех мальчишек, всегда гурьбой сопровождавших светловолосую Светлану Линник, учившуюся в 1 "В", девочка отдала предпочтение именно Дмитрию.
Соседи вспоминают, что с какой-то белокурой школьницей Медведев целовался прямо во дворе, и все удивлялись: что же произошло с тихим, спокойным отличником? Светлана, дочь военного, веселая и красивая хорошистка, завоевала сердце своего будущего супруга буквально за партой, и они поженились через несколько лет после окончания школы.
Они оба одногодки, родились в 1965 г., и знакомы, таким образом, уже 35 лет. До сих пор Светлана Медведева не слишком часто появлялась на официальных мероприятиях, на которых в силу своего положения присутствовал ее муж, зато довольно активно посещала светские вечеринки. Пару лет назад Светлана поздравляла Примадонну отечественной эстрады с новосельем, а в минувшем апреле - с днем рождения. В октябре Медведеву видели на открытии Недели моды в Москве, где демонстрировал свою новую коллекцию Валентин Юдашкин. Dmitry Medvedev’s nomination as the sole candidate in the presidential elections, from the four political parties in Russia, sparked a barrage of press interest in the first deputy prime minister’s personal life. Yesterday the whole country found out that, when he was young , Putin’s potential successor was keen on hard rock and studied in the same class as his wife Svetlana.
The school, where the young Medvedev had his first lessons in 1973, became the journalists’ focus of attention. When Dmitry Medvedev’s nomination for presidential candidate was made public knowledge yesterday, his first teacher decided to put together a small photo display in honour of the potential head of state. The school’s headmistress, Nina Muzikantova, announced the important news to the whole school on the public address system. At exactly the same time, photos of the first deputy prime minister, which had been hanging there for several years running, disappeared under mysterious circumstances from the school hall. The teachers assumed that someone had taken it as a souvenir.
Correspondants from the Komsomolskaya Pravda met with Vera Borisovna Smirnova, a primary school teacher who had once had a hand in the current first deputy prime minister’s education and upbringing. Up until today she had never given an interview on her famous student, but now she had decided to talk about his first school years at No. 305 Secondary School, Kupchino district, St Petersburg.
According to Vera Borisovna, Dmitry was well prepared when he came to class 1’B’; he could read fluently and write quite well, and so was often given special jobs to do; for example reading a book and then telling his classmates all about it. The future politician used to wear his teachers out with questions, and at times they were so surprising that adults were stumped. Spirovna recalls that one day the student asked her about the cruiser Aurora’s displacement and had to delve into reference books to find the answer.
Dmitry Medvedev’s first teacher said that he had already decided, whilst in his first class, that he wanted to be a lawyer when he grew up. However his teacher was sure of something else: in her opinion the boy’s prospects lay in studying science. The same prediction about young Dmitry’s future was made by another of his teachers, Irina Grigorovskaya, who had taught him maths. According to her, although he didn’t dislike humanities, Medvedev showed a preference for exact science.
Diligence and industriousness did no prevent Dmitry from also displaying an exceptional ability in PE lessons; he was school champion of the parallel bars. On the whole he didn’t have a reputation for being a pain in the neck, although he wasn’t a typical teenager from the outskirts. He didn’t use bad language, he didn’t get into fights and he didn’t behave like a hooligan. It wasn’t by chance, that of all the boys always crowding around the blond-haired girl, Svetlana Linnik, who was studying in class 1 ‘B’, Dmitry was her favourite.
Neighbours recalled that they were all surprised that Medvedev and a blonde schoolgirl used to openly kiss each other in the yard. What was happening to the quiet, placid Grade ‘A’ student? Svetlana, a cheerful and beautiful Grade ‘A/B’ student who was the daughter of a soldier, literally won her future husband’s heart at her school desk. They got married several years after leaving school. .
They are both the same age, born in 1965, and so have known each other for 35 years. Until now, Svetlana Medvedev hasn’t made an appearance that often at official events attended by her husband as a part of his duties, but on the other hand she has been fairly active in attending society parties. A few years ago Svetlana congratulated the queen of Russian pop music with a house warming party and last April a birthday party. In October Medvedev was seen at the opening of Moscow Fashion Week, where Valentin Yudashkin was showing his new collection. Rumour has it the first deputy prime minister’s wife is a big admirer of Russian talent in couture.
