Suku asli adalah Dayak Dait dan memiliki kebudayaan hampir sama dengan masyarakat di Desa Engkangin. Mata pencaharian bertani dan pertambangan intan. Jenis komoditi adalah padi (pola sawah dan ladang) dan karet. Usaha pertanian dengan pola tradisional setahun sekali. Aktivitas pertanian terkait dengan kalender budaya dan disesuaikan dengan kondisi musim. Ketahanan pangan masyarakat relatif baik dan sampai saat ini, belum pernah ada masyarakat yang membeli beras dari luar. | Translation - English
The topography is of flat areas. Jambu Village situated on the edge of Landak river basin (DAS) and can be reached by river or land transportation. The indigenous people inhabiting the area is Dayak Dait and has the same culture as of community in Engkangin Village. Major source of income is farming and diamond mining. Type of commodities cover paddy cultivation (wet land and dry land system) and rubber. Agriculture activities conducted due to calendar of culture and climate. The supply suffiency is relatively good and up to now, no rice has been brought in the area. |
