I have over 19 years of professional translating/interpreting, including:

- six years as full-time in-house Interpreter/Translator for the US-Russian project dealing with coal mining;

- two years of full-time work for a British mine equipment manufacturer; and

- over three years as full-time in-house Quality Assurance Associate/Over-The-Phone Interpreter implementing company quality assurance procedures and providing interpreting for various industry segments (911, financial services, insurance, health care, hospitality, utilities etc.)

My other job experience includes:

- translation of news items, feature articles, and advertisements for Russian issues of UK-based coal magazine on an ongoing basis;

- translation of technical reports, environmental assessments, operation and maintenance manuals, company brochures and catalogues, business proposals, contracts, court transcripts, case descriptions, medical documents, market research surveys;

- interpreting during coal mining specialists site visits (underground mines, open pits, coal prep plants, power plants, company visits);

- on-site hospital and medical assessment centre interpretation;

- interpretation in the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario;

- consecutive and simultaneous interpreting at conferences/seminars/workshops;

- transcription and translation of audio files;

- freelance and part-time translation and interpreting for the UK Department for International Development (DFID) projects (social services, youth employment); and

- interpreting for an international adoption agency.
