Facts:
The contract provided that the goods were to be sold and delivered 'free on board' to be paid for by means of cash or bills, at the option of the buyers. The goods were then delivered on board, and receipts were taken from the ship's mate by the lighterman that was employed by the sellers. The sellers then informed the buyers that the goods had been delivered. The buyers then paid by bill of exchange. Although the sellers had retained the mate's receipt for the goods, the master signed the bills of lading in the name of the buyers' name. | Translation - Spanish

Los bienes fueron entregados a bordo y un marinero empleado por los vendedores recogió los recibos abordo del barco. Los vendedores informaron entonces a los compradores que los bienes habían sido entregados y los compradores pagaron mediante una letra de cambio. My name is Ana Sánchez, I am from Vigo, the largest city in Galicia in the north-west of Spain, and I have been living in London since 1997.
I have always had a love of languages, especially English. Whilst studying for a Business Administration Degree at the Universidade de Vigo, I participated in the Erasmus Student Exchange programme and lived in Denmark for a period of time. This experience encouraged me to make the decision to move to London to undertake a short Business English course at the University of Westminster.
After completing the Business English course I decided to remain in London to continue my studies and develop my career.
I hold a Masters Degree in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster and I am currently preparing for the Diploma in Translation by the Chartered Institute of Linguists and I am due to complete this in January 2010.
I am also a qualified Community Translator (Public Services sector) by the Open College Network London Region (OCNLR) and have also completed several other relevant courses throughout my working career:

I have over 10 years experience involving a number of roles for several organisations in the City of London.
The roles have ranged from being Head of Data at a financial data vendor, Exchange Data International, to working for Accenture as a Team Leader of Corporate Actions for The Depository Trust Clearing Corporation (DTCC). She also worked at the London Stock Exchange as a Service Introduction Analyst/Project Manager in the IT Service Delivery team.
These roles have given me an intimate knowledge of the financial markets and this understanding is paramount in providing clear, accurate and factually correct translations.
Additionally, these roles have also taught me to be organised and flexible and have given me experience in project management, customer care, research and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
