Research work at the Biology Department, University of Aveiro, Portugal, between 1999 and 2002. This included toxicology assays in the context of a multidisciplinary study of a coastal lagoon area. At the same time, I also taught practical classes of Biostatistics, Ecology and Invertebrates to undergraduates. All this was fun, but I realised I wouldn't want to be doing it in the long term; thus the (very motivated) switch to freelance translation.
[The University of Aveiro is reknowned for its scientific production amongst Portuguese universities]
MSc in Coastal Zones Sciences - University of Aveiro, Portugal, 1998
Biology degree - University of Aveiro, Portugal, 1995
If you've been so brave as to read this far, I should let you know that what matters from the above is that I really love to translate: it makes me research and learn a lot and I am really happy to give my best in the production of an accurate translation that reads as much as possible like an original. You should probably also know that I am (and always have been) a language-addicted bookworm with an apparently incurable travel bug!
