Member of National Board of Accreditation for translation profession in Australia. Currently teaching Translation Accreditation Studies at University of Western Sydney. Lived 13 years in Japan, 5 of them working full-time for a translation agency (Rockland Gait Interational) and 3 free-lancing for major Japanese corporations, including Panasonic, Sony, Kyocera, Suntory, etc.

Am also media coordinator for TV Asahi in SE Asia and have worked for Japanese businesses expanding into Australia, including fashion retail and wholesale, and hairdressing industries.

Main areas of specialization are translation/interpreting in the steel industry (ironmaking, 8 years), TPM, engineering, auto mechanics, medical & dental, TV and video scripts, marketing, fashion retail, hair care products.

25 years experience in all types of translation and interpreting tasks in Australia, Europe, and Japan.

Speak fluent Japanese, passable French, Spanish, and German. Spend 6 years learning Irish Gaelic at high school.
