Bio
Arthur Zantidis was born in Greece where he completed his secondary education. He lived in Australia from 1978 - 2000 where he studied Interpreting/Translation at Deakin University and majored in translation at La Trobe University. He is an Accredited Interpreter/Translator in the Greek and English languages (both directions) and has held the position of Senior Translator (Greek), Translation Unit at the Victorian Ethnic Affairs Commission (1985-1992). His experience covers a wide spectrum from Medical, Legal and Business translations to Major Projects and Government Contracts.
He has been the National Treasurer of the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (1992-1995) and successfully coordinated the institute's bid to stage the triennial FIT Congress in Melbourne (1996).
He returned to Greece in 2000 where he works as a freelance English/Greek translator and editor.
