Raised and educated in Finland, I have a firm foundation in my main target language, Finnish. I keep up to date with the Finnish language through daily contact with family, friends, and colleagues both in-country and overseas. I also follow the latest trends in Finnish culture by watching Finnish television via satellite and by reading Finnish newspapers, tabloids, and magazines.

In order to gain an in-depth understanding of my source languages, I have also lived and studied in Sweden, France, and the UK. I have a particular interest in anything and everything Scottish, since I have lived and worked in Scotland since the beginning of 2001. I find life in an English-speaking country immensely rewarding and interesting, because I learn new things about my source language and culture every day by simply living here.
