Ses travaux constituent une Somme que notre génération n'épuisera pas, ils projettent un éclairage unique sur les problèmes de la vie, ils on miraculeusement conservé toute leur valeur novatrice.

Since then, in but a few years, a small elite has followed the steps of the great scholar and has already measured certain repercussions of his exceptional work. This rediscovery is marked by important events which we shall discuss further on. But it was necessary that it should be the object of a first written work, of which the principal ambition is not simply to do justice to René Quinton, to contribute to his taking the place he deserves in the history of the sciences. A goal so limited, however just, would not have motivated us to undertake such a task. But Quinton, according to one of his most recent foreign admirers in an address to the president of France, has the quality of burning actuality.
