As a freelance translator of Chinese and French since 1991, I have worked in a broad variety of text types and subject matter ranging from Mahayana Buddhist commentary to United Nations reports, from hamburgers to high fashion, from computer software to automotive hardware. I was for four years the house translator for McCann-Erickson Taiwan. High-profile projects include (from Chinese) the 200-page 'First Report on Implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of the People's Republic of China', prepared for United Nations in Geneva, and (from French) the Introduction to Emmanuel Todd's 'Apres l'Empire'. I specialize in administrative/legal/literary texts, but am also conversant with various branches of engineering, patents and website localization.
