Overspeed Governor GB32 and GB32/2

1.3.1 Functional Description
The GB32/2 governor is a development of the GB32. The development work has been concentrated mainly on the tripping mechanism (centrifugal weights and tripping arms).
The two governors are identical as regards external appearance, dimensions and the work that has to be done on them. Unless specific reference is made to differences in the work to be done on the GB32 and GB32/2, what is said in the present document can be assumed to apply to both.
The GB32/2 governor uses two systems of centrifugal weights that are separated by the body of the rope pulley. If the speed of travel in the upward or downward direction rises above the permitted tolerance, the centrifugal-weight system for VCK first operates the safety switch and brings the elevator to halt via the control. If the speed continues to rise in the downward direction, the centrifugal-weight system for VCA actuates the rope brake and in this way engages the safety gear. To reset the overspeed governor the moving brake shoe is raised to latch it to the VCA tripping arm and when this is done the spacer at the side of the rope brake needs to be tilted back by hand. The switching weight is raised to latch it to the VCK tripping arm
and this automatically resets the safety switch to its operating position. The overspeed governor is covered by a raisable cover that also prevents the rope from running off its pulley.

Ambos limitadores son idénticos en cuanto a su aspecto externo, medidas y a los trabajos que deben realizarse en los mismos. A no ser que se haga referencia específica a las diferencias del trabajo que debe realizarse en el limitador GB32 y en GB32/2, se supone que la información que consta en el presente documento es aplicable a ambos limitadores.
El limitador GB32/2 utiliza dos sistemas de pesos centrífugos que están separados por el cuerpo de la polea de cable. Si la velocidad de avance hacia arriba o hacia abajo, excede la tolerancia permitida, el sistema de peso centrífugo de VCK activa en primer lugar el interruptor de seguridad, y por medio del control hace que el elevador se detenga. Si la velocidad de avance hacia abajo continúa aumentando, el sistema de peso centrífugo de VCA acciona el freno de cable, conectando de este modo el engranaje de seguridad. Para reiniciar el limitador de velocidad, la zapata del freno en movimiento es elevada para engancharse al brazo de desconexión de VCA y al finalizar, el separador en el lateral del freno de cable debe retrocederse manualmente. Eine Steuerung, die über den Prozessbus direkt mit einem Bediengerät verbunden ist, wird als Einplatzsystem bezeichnet.
Einplatzsysteme werden meist produktionsnah eingesetzt, können aber auch eigenständige Teilprozesse oder Anlagenteile bedienen und beobachten.
Steuerung mit mehreren Bediengeräten
Eine Steuerung, die über den Prozessbus mit mehreren Bediengeräten verbunden, wird als Mehrplatzsystem bezeichnet. Die Bediengeräte sind über PROFIBUS miteinander vernetzt.
