Danke

- CEO XXX Group | Translation - English Dear employees,
In September we had, as expected, a moderate receipt of orders. Turnover surpassed the incoming orders by around €0.5 million at €4.7 million. In total by the end of September our receipt of orders and turnover were above the budget by around 12.7% and 8.8% respectively.
The ifo (Institute for Economic Research) expects a slight economic slowdown in Europe in the next six months. In North America on the other hand the economic situation should continue to brighten up. The economic prospects still look very good. At the moment it is estimated that 2008 in Europe will turn out the same as 2007. The big question is, however, how strong the turbulence on the American financial market will affect the world economy. This will be seen in the coming months.

EMO 2007
Over 166,000 visitors came to Hannover between 17th and 22nd September to buy machinery, issue orders and to find out about innovations in the metal-working industry. That was 4 percent more than the previous event two years ago, when the trade fair still lasted for eight days. The number of exhibitors, at 2118 exhibitors from 42 countries, was 5 percent higher than the number at the previous event, while the covered area of 180,000 net square meters was 12 percent greater than the previous event. In general the exhibitors made very positive comments about this year's EMO.
For us the EMO 2007 was a complete success. Our aim was to present out customers and potential customers to the "new” xxx as a partner for automation of xxx machines. The topics at our stand were:
- xxx complete solutions by xxx, displayed on the rotating columns (in the foreground)
- The new xxx xxx system, displayed on the large back-wall.
- In the middle area of the stand there was room for a detailed discussion, which was supported by the 3 standing desks equipped with PCs.
Our presentation was held on a bright and extremely inviting stand. Our joint efforts in all areas (planning, construction, schooling …) paid off. At the last EMO on 2005 we were able to issue 187 reports. This year our aim was 240 reports. We actually reached 381 reports. Taking into consideration the fact that the EMO only lasted 6 days, on average we issued 3 times as many reports as in 2005. What is particularly pleasing is the fact that we were able to have very interesting conversations with new customers. Here we just have to ensure that we stay on the ball and strike while the iron is still hot.
I would like to thank everyone who helped us to achieve this success. The teamwork and the spirit of enthusiasm and excitement which was evident on our stand is precisely what finally convinced the customers alongside the technology.
Our performance at the EMO was simply first-class! Thank you
