Aktivurlauber, die diesen Gesundheitssport ausüben bzw. einmal ausprobieren wollen, finden heute vielerorts ausgewiesenen Nordic Walking-Strecken auch mit Verleihstationen für entsprechende Ausrüstung bis hin zu professioneller Anleitung vor. Mittlerweile gibt es sogar spezielle Nordic Walking Parks, allein 41 listet die Homepage des Deutschen Nordic Walking Verbandes (www.dnv-online.de) auf – von der LaufArena Allgäu-Nesselwang bis zum an der deutsch-niederländischen Grenze im Naturpark Schwalm-Nette gelegenen Park Wassenberg-Roerdalen.
Europas größter Nordic Fitness Park “Ahr Rhein Eifel“lockt mit vierzehn verschiedenen Parcours von insgesamt rund 1000 km ausgewiesenen Strecken sowie herrlichen Ausblicken auf das Ahr- und Rheintal sowie die Eifel. Das umfassende Angebot der Nordic Fitness Akademie Ahr Rhein Eifel an Kursen und Treffpunkten wird Einsteigern, Reha-Patienten, Fortgeschrittenen sowie auch leistungsorientierten Sportlern gerecht.

Dass der Fantasie bei den Angeboten keine Grenzen gesetzt sind, beweist auch der Erholungsort Baiersbronn mit seinen Nordic Walking-Vollmondtouren im Sommer.
Hoch hinaus bis auf über 1000m geht es auch im Nordic Parc Fichtelgebirge. Die drei Nordic Walking Zentren Gefrees, Bischofsgrün und Wunsiedel/Bad Alexandersbad weisen 17 beschilderte Strecken zwischen vier und 15 Kilometern Länge sowie Profilen passend sowohl für Einsteiger als auch für Fortgeschrittene aus.
Das Nordic Walking Zentrum Thüringer Vogtland zwischen Greiz und Zeulenroda begeistert mit Strecken fast ausschließlich auf Waldwegen durch landschaftlich wunderschöne und abwechslungsreiche Gebiete. Für Anfänger eignen sich vor allem die Klettergebiete Ziegelwiese und die Schwannseeplatten. Mitten in den Allgäuer Bergen lädt bei Immenstadt die Alpsee Bergwelt mit dem größten Hochseilgarten Bayerns – dem Kletterwald Bärenfalle – ein. Interessante alpine Klettergebiete sowie Klettergärten finden sich auch im

Ein Klettergebiet der Superlative stellt die Sächsische Schweiz an der Grenze zu Tschechien dar. Das Felsengebiet beiderseits der Elbe zählt mit seinen etwa 15.000 Kletterwegen und den über 1100 freistehenden Sandsteintürmen zu den größten und bedeutendsten Klettergebieten der Welt und bietet eine riesige Auswahl an Routen aller Schwierigkeitsgrade.
Seit über 100 Jahren wird bereits an den Kalkfelsen der Fränkischen Schweiz zwischen den Städten Bamberg, Bayreuth und Nürnberg geklettert. Darüber hinaus finden sich in vielen Regionen in ganz Deutschland Kletter- und Hochseilgärten wie z. Nordic Walking is an increasingly popular form of activity holiday
Nordic walking is becoming inreasingly popular because it is something which peple can do in virtually any holiday area withourt incurring great expense. Long gone are the days when the adherents of this sport, which was originally developed as part of the summer training regime of Finnish cross-country skiiers, were laughed at by others. People who like activity holidays and who wish practice or to try out this healthy form of exercise can find plenty of dedicated Nordic walking routes nowadays. Many have shops where all the necessary equipment may be hired and some even provide professional advice and guidance. There are now even specialised Nordic walking parks; the homepage of the German Nordic Walking Association (www.dnv-online.de) alone lists 41 such parks stretching from the LaufArena Allgäu-Nesselwang near the Austrian border and Innsbruck to the Wassenberg-Roerdalen Park in the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park on the border between Germany and the Netherlands.
Europe’s largest Nordic Fitness Park, the Ahr Rhein Eifel Park attracts Nordic walkers with fourteen separate courses and around a thousand kilometres of dedicated routes and magnificent views of the valleys of the River Ahr and the Rhine, as well as of the Eifel mountain range. At the Feldberg-Hinterzarten-Breitnau Nordic Walking Skills Centre (Nordic-Walking-Kompetenzzentrum) they even offer routes lasting several days during which your baggage will be transported for you to the next Nordic Walking Hotel on your route. That there need be no limits on the extnet of your imagination during these tours is illustrated by the fact that the resort of Baiersbronn runs “Full Moon Nordic Walking Tours“ during the evenings of the summer months.
You can walk at altitudes of over 1,000m in the Fichtel Mountains (Fichtelgebirge) Nordic Park. Its three Nordic walking centres at Gefrees, Bischofsgrün and Wunsiedel/Bad Alexandersbad have a totalof 17 clearly signposted routesof between four and seventeen kilometres in length and routes which are suitable for both beginners and advanced Nordic walkers.
The Thüringer Vogtland Nordic Walking Centre between Greiz and Zeulenroda attracts wlakers with routes going almost entirely through forests and through some outstandingly beautiful scenery which is full of variety. In Germany’s green northern regions the adherents of game played with the tiny white ball can indulge their passion directly against the striking backdrops of North Sea or the Baltic, in an idyllic landscape surrounding lakes or perhaps near to a grand country house. Half of all the rounds of golf played in Germany’s number-one holiday destination, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, are played by people who are on holiday in the region. The price of a day’s round of golf, the green fee, is comparatively inexpensive in this region of Germany. One of the area’s top addresses is the Fleesensee Golf and Country Club. This is the largest holiday and recreation resort in northern Europe and provides hours of golfing enjoyment on the highest quality courses with a total of 72 holes, The Golf Arena here is unique in Germany and is 400 metres across and has five separate greens for chipping or putting practice.
The number one region for golf in Germany is, however, the state of Bavaria. Beginners will find plenty of opportunities to learn to ride here, advanced riders can improve their skills in one of the many horse riding centres and there are also training courses for fans of competitive horse driving.
Further north the state of Schleswig-Holstein is well worth exploring because it is the horse riders‘ paradise par excellence. Between the Duchy of Lauenburg and the German-Danish border there are around 200 kilometres of horse riding paths.
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern also has many ideal locations for a holiday on horseback. The well maintained network of horse riding paths here also extends over several hundred kilometres and provides wonderful horse riding experiences along the extraordinarily beautiful coastal and inland areas alike. And if you don’t want to ride a horse yourself you can still have some great experiences during a ride in a horse drawn coach.
Rock climbing amidst breath-taking scenery
In recent years rock climbing has also become an increasingly fashionable sport for the whole family. High peak climbers will find plenty of scope in Bavaria’s Alpine region for rock climbing tours which present lots of challenging climbs.
The more experienced and accomplished Alpine climbers, for example, can tackle Germany’s highest mountain the 2,962 metre high Zugspitze via difficult and demanding routes such as the Höllentalsteig and the Jubiläumsgrat. The Allgäu region also awaits mountaineers with a wide range of rock climbing areas and routes of all levels of difficulty. The Ziegelwiese and the Schwannseeplatten climbing areas are particularly suitable for beginners. For many years now opportunities to be involved in the fascinating world of rock climbing have not been confined to the Alps region. The most mountainous part of the state of Saxony, close to the border with the Czech Republic is often called the “Saxon Switzerland” (Sächsische Schweiz) and is a rock climbing area of superlatives. The rocky areas on either side of the River Elbe with over 15,000 climbing routes and over 1,100 free standing sandstone mountains form one of the largest and most important climbing areas in the world and offer an enormous range of routes of all degrees of difficulty.
People have been climbing for over a hundred years in the limestone mountains of the “Franconian Switzerland” (Fränkische Schweiz) between the cities of Bamberg, Bayreuth and Nuremberg. It is not for nothing too that the Franconian Jura region (Frankenjura) with its wide range of climbing routes, from the many easy ones right up to some of the most demanding routes in the country has also become one of the most popular climbing regions in Germany and has also increasingly become a Mecca for extreme climbers. In 1991a rock climbing route of the most difficult eleventh grade of difficulty under the German classification system was conquered for the first time anywhere in the world.
Between Stuttgart and Lake Constance the fascinating Swabian Alb (Schwäbische Alb) range of low lying mountains is to be highly recommended, not just as a walkers’ paradise but also as an El Dorado for rock climbing enthusiasts. Rock climbing enthusiasts will find other routes in places like the Odenwald mountain range, especially in old stone quarrying areas like Schriesheim, the largest climbing area in these low lying mountains, as well as in the Taunus region and in the Hunsrück in the Rhine-Main District.
The Palatinate Forest (Pfälzer Wald) to the west of the Upper Rhine also has many demanding rock climbing routes which include “chimneys, extended crevices and great holes all the way up to friction climbing areas in the palatinate’s bottom sandstone formations.
There are other climbing centres and high ropes courses in many other German regions, such as the Sky Rope high ropes course (Skyrope Hochseilpark) in Bad Harzburg which is amongst the largest and most varied high ropes courses in Germany. There are also indoor rock climbing centres and climbing schools. Beginners’ courses in these schools provide an opportunity to learn the basic techniques of rock climbing whilst having fun and in complete safety. Whilst climbing up the walls, which can be up to32 metres in height, you can get a little closer to achieving mankind’s dream of conquering Nature!

Mit einer Lutherdekade unter dem Motto „Luther 2017 – 500 Jahre Reformation” wird in Sachsen-Anhalt und Thüringen seit Herbst 2008 an das bahnbrechende Wirken des berühmten Bergmannssohns erinnert, das mit seiner Ankunft in Wittenberg im September 1508 begann und mit dem berühmten Thesenanschlag an der Wittenberger Schlosskirche im Jahre 1517 kulminierte. A series of exhibitions, concerts, church services, celebrations and theatre performances will be using this occasion to convey the meaning of the reformation and Martin Luther in the places where he lived and practiced his believes.
Wittenberg is the centre of the Reformation. Luther worked here for more than 40 years and it was from here that reports of a Reformation spread through the entire world. Darüber hinaus besiegelte Luther hier auch sein privates Glück: In der Wittenberger Stadtkirche heiratete er die ehemalige Nonne Katharina von Bora. Archaeological excavations at Martin Luther’s birthplace in Eisleben, his parents’ home in Mansfeld and his own home in Wittenberg have brought unique new finds, allowing us to see entire chapters of his life story from a completely new angle.
Auf der Wartburg in Eisenach, lebte Luther in den Jahren 1521/22 als „Junker Jörg”unter kurfürstlichem Schutz vor der über ihn verhängten Reichsacht. Hier übersetzte Luther innerhalb von nur zehn Wochen das Neue Testament. Zum 475. Jubiläum der Erstausgabe der lutherschen Vollbibel zeigt die Wartburg vom 04.05.-31.10.09 die Sonderausstellung „Dies Buch in aller Zunge, Hand und Herzen –475 Jahre Lutherbibel”. Gezeigt werden wenige, dafür umso kostbarere Druckwerke, etwa die lateinische Vulgata oder die Erasmus-Ausgabe des Neuen Testaments, die Luther zur Verfügung standen. Bibliophile Glanzlichter bilden neben Luthers eigenhändigen Manuskripten jedoch seine Werke: das September- und das Dezembertestament, die Erstausgabe der kompletten Lutherbibeln, ein 1541 von Hans Lufft gedrucktes Exemplar mit handschriftlichen Einträgen des Reformators oder die Prunkbibel aus Zerbst, die anhaltische Fürsten 1541 in Auftrag gaben.
Mit viel Liebe zum Detail wird in Eisenach vom 21.-23.08. das Historienspektakel „Luther – Das Fest” inszeniert. Bei diesem jährlichen Höhepunkt im Eisenacher Veranstaltungskalender schaffen hunderte kostümierte Darsteller und Gaukler eine einzigartige Szenerie aus Markttreiben, Musik, Tanz, Gaukelei und Feuershows.
Authentische Lutherstätten befinden sich auch im benachbarten Bundesland Sachsen, z.B. in Grimma. In der Stadt an der Mulde predigte Luther mehrfach in der Augustiner-Klosterkirche. Bevor Katharina von Bora Luthers Frau wurde war sie Nonne im Kloster Marienthron in Nimbschen, ca. 1 km südlich von Grimma. Durch die dicken Klostermauern drang auch Luthers reformatorisches Gedankengut und Katharina erkannte die „Wertlosigkeit der Gefangenschaft” im Kloster. 1523 gelang ihr die spektakuläre Flucht nach Wittenberg, wo sie zwei Jahre später Martin Luther heiratete. An die romantische Geschichte des „Aschenputtels der Reformation” erinnern heute noch die Klosterruine als steinerne Zeugin und das Kreismuseum in Grimma mit einer Ausstellung.

The Luther Decade 2008-2017
When the Great Reformer invites you to a wedding....
In the Spring of 2008 the German states of Sachsen-Anhalt and Thuringia began a “Luther Decade“ under the title of “Martin Luther 2017: 500 Years of Reformation.” This is of course intended to celebrate the life and epoch-making work of this son of a copper miner and smelter whose impact on world history began with his arrival in Wittenburg to take up a teaching post at the University in September 1508 and culminated with this famous nailing of his famous 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church in Wittenberg in 1517. A series of exhibitions, concerts, church services, celebrations and theatre performances will be using this occasion to convey the meaning of the reformation and Martin Luther in the places where he lived and practiced his beliefs.
Wittenberg was the centre of the Reformation. Luther worked here for more than 40 years and it was from here that reports of a Reformation spread through the entire world. This was also the place where Luther set the seal on his own personal happiness when he married the former nun Katharina von Bora in the Wittenberg city church. Now, and for the last fourteen years, this event has been commemorated by the annual “Luther’s wedding” celebrations in Wittenberg. 2009 will be no exception: from 12-14 June visitors to Wittenberg will be able to enjoy a rousing and varied programme of events in courtyards in the old town and on the streets. The highlight of the festival will be a grand historic pageant with more than 2000 participants, including many musicians and jesters to be held on 13 June.
Other events which are being held in Wittenberg in honour of Martin Luther include the Renaissance Music Festival (26.-31 October .09) and the Festival of the Reformation (31st October – 1st November .09).
The spectacular new exhibition of “Luther’s Lost Property” (Fundsache Luther), which remains open until April 26th at the State Museum of Prehistory (Landesmuseum für Vorgeschichte) in Halle an der Saale will then move on to Museum of World Cultures (Museum der Weltkulturen) in Quadrant D5 of the Reiss-Engelhorn Museums from 30th May until 15th November 2009. During the years of 1521-2 when Luther was the subject of n Imperial ban throughout the Holy Roman Empire which effectively made him an outlaw, he lived at the Wartburg Castle in Eisenach under the protection of the Elector of Saxony and whilst pretending to be a knight by the name of name of “Junker Jörg”. It was during his time here that Luther completed his translation of the New Testament from Greek into German in just ten weeks. To mark the 475th anniversary of the publication of the first edition of Luther’s complete Bible in German the Wartburg Castle is holding a special exhibition called “This Book on all Tongues and in all Hands and Hearts - 475 Years of Luther’s Bible” (Dies Buch in aller Zunge, Hand und Herzen –475 Jahre Lutherbibel) from April 5th – October 31st 2009. The exhibition will include copies of some of the few, but for that very reason all the more precious printed works which Luther had to assist him in making his translation of the Bible. These works include the Latin Vulgate Bible and Erasmus’s Edition of the New Testament. The highlights of the exhibition for all bibliophiles will surely, however, be the Luther’s own handwritten copies of his works: The September and December Testaments, the first editions of of all of Luther’s publications of the Bible, a copy of a revised edition of the Luther’s translation of the complete Bible which was printed by Hans Lufft in 1541 and which contains handwritten annotations by the Great Reformer himself, or the copy of Luther’s Bible from Zerbst, magnificently illustrated by Lucas Cranach the younger, and which was commissioned by the princes of Anhalt in 1541.

Recognizing Complex Forms of Bipolar Disorder
The Correct Treatment of Mixed States
Defining bipolar disorders as consisting of alternating episodes of manic-euphoric and depressive-dysphoric states, with or without intervening intervals of euthymia, does not adequating describe the complexities of the psychopathology and the course that this condition normally follows. At least as commonly found, are affective mixed states with desynchronization of mood, thought and motor function, but proper diagnosis may be additionally complicated by the presence of psychiatric co-morbidity and/or substance misuse. In terms of differential therapy, it should always be borne in mind that, amongst the established mood stabilizers, a good response to Lithium is largely limited to cases where there is euphoric mania, whilst valproic acid, found in drugs like sodium valproate, is likely to be effective across a considerably broader spectrum of bipolar disorders. | German to English: IT Service Agreement

1 Art und Umfang der Dienstleistung
Der Auftragnehmer erbringt die Dienstleistung zu den Vereinbarungen im Vertrag. Der Auftraggeber trägt die Projekt- und Er¬folgsverantwortung. Die ordnungsgemäße Datensicherung* obliegt dem Auftraggeber. Werkvertragliche Leistungen sind nicht Gegenstand des Vertrages.
Der Auftragnehmer erbringt die Dienstleistung nach dem bei Vertragsschluss aktuellen Stand der Technik und durch Personal, das für die Erbringung der vereinbarten Leistungen qualifiziert ist.
2 Zusammenarbeit der Vertragspartner
Ansprechpartner der Vertragsparteien sind ausschließlich die im Vertrag benannten verantwortlichen Ansprechpartner.
Der Auftraggeber wird Wünsche wegen der zu erbringenden Dienstleistung ausschließlich dem vom Auftragnehmer benannten verantwortlichen Ansprechpartner übermitteln und den übrigen vom Auftragnehmer eingesetzten Personen keine Weisungen erteilen. Die vom Auftragnehmer eingesetzten Personen treten in kein Arbeitsverhältnis zum Auftraggeber, auch soweit sie Lei¬stungen in dessen Räumen erbringen.
3 Austausch von Personen
3.1 Wird eine vom Auftragnehmer zur Vertragserfüllung eingesetzte Person durch eine andere ersetzt und ist eine Einarbeitung
erforderlich, so geht diese zu Lasten des Auftragnehmers. Bei der Auswahl wird der Auftragnehmer die Interessen des Auftrag¬
gebers angemessen berücksichtigen.
3.2 Der Auftraggeber kann mit Begründung den Austausch einer vom Auftragnehmer zur Vertragserfüllung eingesetzten Person
verlangen, wenn diese wiederholt und schwerwiegend gegen vertragliche Pflichten verstoßen hat. Die durch den Austausch
entstehenden Kosten gehen zu Lasten des Auftragnehmers.
4 Rechte an den verkörperten Dienstleistungsergebnissen
4.1 Der Auftragnehmer räumt dem Auftraggeber das nicht ausschließliche, dauerhafte, unwiderrufliche und nicht übertragbare
Recht ein, die im Rahmen des Vertrages erbrachten, verkörperten Dienstleistungsergebnisse zu nutzen, soweit sich dies aus
Zweck und Einsatzbereich des Vertrages ergibt. Diese Rechte schließen die vereinbarten Zwischenergebnisse, Schulungsun¬
terlagen und Hilfsmittel ein.
Abweichungen von diesen Nutzungsregelungen bedürfen der Vereinbarung im Vertrag.
4.2 Im Übrigen ist der Auftraggeber unter Beachtung seiner Geheimhaltungs- und Datenschutzpflichten zum Erfahrungsaustausch
innerhalb der öffentlichen Hand berechtigt.
5 Mitwirkungsleistung des Auftraggebers
Der Auftraggeber wird den Auftragnehmer bei der Erbringung der vertraglichen Leistungen in angemessenem Umfang unter¬stützen. Er wird ihm insbesondere die erforderlichen Informationen und Unterlagen vollständig und rechtzeitig zur Verfügung stellen. Darüber hinausgehende Mitwirkungsleistungen bedürfen der gesonderten Vereinbarung im Vertrag.
Die mit * gekennzeichneten Begriffe sind am Ende der XXX IT Dienstleistung definiert.

Supplementary Contractual Provisions for the Procurement of IT Services
- XXX IT Services –
1 Nature and Scope of Services
The supplier will perform the services under the terms set out in the agreements contained in the contract. The customer is responsible for the implementation of the project and its successful completion. The implementation of proper data security* measures is the responsibility of the customer. Service contractual services do not form part of the subject of this contract. .
The supplier shall perform the contractual service in accordance with the level of the most up to date technology available at the time when this contract was made and in using personnel who are technically qualified to carry out the agreed contractual services.
2 Collaboration of the Contractual Partners
The contact persons of the respective contractual partners shall be exclusively the appointed contact persons, as named in the contract.
The customer must convey all requests made in relation to the contractual services to be provided solely to the contact person appointed by the supplier for the purpose of fulfilling the terms of this contract, and the customer must not give any other form of managerial instruction to any of the supplier’s other employees. Workers employed by the supplier have no employment relationship to the customer, even if they are working to provide services on the employer’s premises.
3 Replacement of workers
3.1 If a person employed by the supplier for the purposes of fulfilling the terms of this contract is replaced by another, who requires orientation into the work, the costs of such orientation must be borne by the supplier. In selecting his employees, the supplier must make due regard for the interests of the employer.
3.2 The customer may, if he has good reason to do so, require the supplier to replace a member of his workforce who has been engaged to fulfil the terms of this contract, if this person has repeatedly committed serious infringements of his/her contractual obligations. The costs of replacing such a person must be borne by the supplier.
4 Rights to material products derived from the provision of contractual services
4.1 The customer grants the supplier the non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable and non-assignable rights to make use of the material products derived from the provision of contractual services, in so far as these arise from the purposes of fulfilling the terms of this contract. These rights include the rights to all intermediate products produced during the course of fulfilling the terms of this contract, to training documentation and other technical aids
Any deviations from these regulations on usage rights require the parties to sign a separate agreement under the terms of this contract.
4.2 The employer is otherwise entitled to exchange information derived from the performance of this contract with various public bodies, whilst observing all relevant data protection regulations.
5 Employer’s contribution to the performance of the contract
The customer must support the supplier in the provision of the contractual services to a degree which is appropriate. He will, in particular ensure that all the information and documentation which it is necessary for the supplier to have in the provision of the contractual services is made available completely and at the appropriate time. All other cooperative services require the parties to make a separate agreement made as part of this contract.

Der Nationalrat hat beschlossen:
Das Mediengesetz, BGBl. Nr. 314/1981, zuletzt geändert durch das Bundesgesetz BGBl. I Nr. 112/2007, wird wie folgt geändert:
1. Die Bezeichnung „Artikel I“ entfällt.
2. Nach § 1 Abs. 1 Z 1 wird folgende Z 1a eingefügt:
„1a. „Medieninhalte“: Mitteilungen oder Darbietungen mit gedanklichem Inhalt in Wort, Schrift, Ton oder Bild, die in einem Medium enthalten sind;“
3. § 25 Abs. 5 lautet:
„(5) Für ein Medium im Sinne von § 1 Abs. 1 Z 5a lit b und c, das keinen über die Darstellung des persönlichen Lebensbereichs oder die Präsentation des Medieninhabers hinausgehenden Informationsgehalt aufweist, der geeignet ist, die öffentliche Meinungsbildung zu beeinflussen, gilt Abs. 2 mit der Maßgabe, dass nur der Name oder die Firma, gegebenenfalls der Unternehmensgegenstand, sowie der Wohnort oder der Sitz des Medieninhabers anzugeben sind. Abs. 3 und 4 finden auf solche Medien keine Anwendung.“
4. Nach § 43a werden folgende §§ 43b und 43c samt Überschriften eingefügt:
„Sammlung und Ablieferung periodischer elektronischer Medien
§ 43b. (1) Die Österreichische Nationalbibliothek ist höchstens viermal jährlich zur generellen automatisierten Sammlung von Medieninhalten periodischer elektronischer Medien gemäß § 1 Abs. 1 Z 5a lit. b oder c berechtigt, die öffentlich zugänglich und
1. unter einer „.at“-Domain abrufbar sind oder
2. einen inhaltlichen Bezug zu Österreich aufweisen.
(2) Die Österreichische Nationalbibliothek ist zur Sammlung von öffentlich zugänglichen Medieninhalten einzelner periodischer elektronischer Medien gemäß § 1 Abs. 1 Z 5a lit. b oder c berechtigt. Sie hat den Medieninhaber darüber vor Beginn der Sammlung schriftlich in Kenntnis zu setzen.
(3) Medieninhaber eines periodischen elektronischen Mediums gemäß § 1 Abs. 1 Z 5a lit. b oder c haben dessen Medieninhalte an die Österreichische Nationalbibliothek abzuliefern, wenn das Medium
1. einer Zugangskontrolle im Sinne des Zugangskontrollgesetzes, BGBl. I Nr. 60/2000 unterliegt, oder
2. sich seiner Art nach an die Allgemeinheit richtet und einer sonstigen Zugangsbeschränkung unterliegt, die von einer Zugangskontrolle nur dadurch abweicht, dass das Medium auch ohne Entrichtung eines Entgelts zugänglich ist, oder
3. zwar keiner Zugangskontrolle oder sonstigen Zugangsbeschränkung unterliegt, aber aus technischen Gründen dessen Inhalte von der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek nicht auf Grund von Abs. 2 gesammelt werden können.
(4) Die Berechtigung gemäß Abs. 2 und die Ablieferungspflicht gemäß Abs. 3 bestehen nicht hinsichtlich Medieninhalten
1. die in identischer oder weitgehend identischer Form bereits im Rahmen eines Medienwerks, das der Anbietungs- und Ablieferungspflicht nach diesem Bundesgesetz unterliegt, abgeliefert werden, oder
2. die überwiegend aus Darbietungen in Ton oder Laufbildern bestehen, oder

The National Patliament of Austria has agreed as follows:
The Media Law (BGBl. No. 314/1981), which was last amended by the Federal Act No. . BGBl. I No. 112/2007, is hereby ammended as follows:
1. The designation “Article I“ is omitted.
2.After § 1 Para. 1 Fig. 1 the following Fig. 1a is inserted:
„1a. „Media content “: Information or presentations with intellectual content in word, text, souond or pictures, which is cotained in a medium ;“
3. § 25 Para. 5 is worded:
„(5) In relation to a medium within the meaning of § 1 Para. 1 Fig. 5a lit b and c, which contains no content beyond that which relates to the depiction of the personal circumstances of the life of, or the presentation of the business of the media owner, and which is therefore not likely to influence the formation of public opinion, Para. 2 shall apply with the provisio that, the medium must contain only the name of the person or business, if appropriate the object of the business and the location of the home or of the head office of the media owner. Paras. 3 and 4 shall not apply to such media.“
4. After § 43a the following §§ 43b and 43c together with the headings are inserted:
„Collection and Provision of periodic electronic media
§ 43b. (1) The Austrian National Library (Die Österreichische Nationalbibliothek) is authorised to make at most four times each a year a general automated collection of the media content if periodic electronic media, in accordance with § 1 Para. 1 Fig. 5a 5b or 5c, provided that this information is available for public access and
1. may be accessed via an Austrian domain name ending in „.at“ or
2. contains content whichis connected with Austria.
(2) The Austrian National Library is authorised to make a collection of media content which is generally available to the public in the form of individual periodic electronic media items in accordance with the terms of § 1 Para. 1 Fig. 5a, 5b or 5c. The Austrian National Library must inform the relevant media owner of its intention to collect such items prior to collection
(3) Owners of a periodic electronic mediums must, under the terms of § 1 Para. 1 Fig. 5a 5b or 5c must provide copies of the media content to the Austrian National Library if the medium:
1. is subject to an access control as defined in the Acess Control Law Zugangskontrollgesetz, (BGBl. I No. 60/2000), or
2. by its nature is intended to be consumed by the general public and is subject to another form of access restriction which differs from an access control as defined above only in that the medium is also accessible without the payment of an access fee being made, or
3. is not subject to any form of access control or other form of access restriction but the contents of which may nevertheless not be collected by the Austrian National Library in accordance with the terms of Para. 2 for technical reasons.
(4) The authorisation as contained in Para. 2 and the The duty to provide access to, or copies of information which is published electronically under Para. 3 do not apply to media content:
1. which has already been provided in identical format or largely identical format in another media item which is subject to the duty to offer or provide access to, or copies of information which is published electronically in accordance with this Federla Law or
2. which consists predominantly of presentation in sound or moving pictures, or

DIE MÜHLE VON HOBOKEN
Die Mühle von Hoboken steht auf der Ecke von der Eikenlei und der Onderwijzersstraat mitten im Bezirk ‘Molen’. Sie ist eine Windmühle.
Die Mühle spielt eine wichtige Rolle in der Erzählung ‘Ein Hund von Flandern’.
Diese Geschichte aus dem Jahr 1872 über einen Jungen namens Nello und seinen Hund Patrasche ist im Bezirk Hoboken und weit darüber hinaus, sogar in Japan, sehr bekannt. Nach der Erzählung wohnt die Freundin von Nello, Aloïse, dort. Sie ist die einzige Tochter des Müllers.
Ouida, die englische Autorin von ‘Ein Hund von Flandern’, stützte sich offensichtlich darauf, was sie erlebt hatte und wem sie begegnet war, als sie in Hoboken auf der Durchreise war. Aus den Büchern der Gemeinde geht hervor, daß der Müller, der 1872 die Mühle gepachtet hatte, in der Tat eine Tochter hatte, die damals genau wie das Mädchen aus der Erzählung zwölf Jahre alt war.
Die erste Erwähnung der Mühle wurde in einem Inventar des Prinzen von Oranien aus dem Jahre 1545 gefunden. Die Mühle ist auch auf dem Stich ‘Jahrmarkt von St.-Joris’ von Hieronymus Cock nach einem Entwurf von Pieter Breughel dem Älteren abgebildet.
Die Mühle wurde auch ‘die Rote Mühle’ genannt. Das hölzerne Bauwerk war, wie ab dem fünfzehnten Jahrhundert üblich, mit einem Gemisch aus Pferdemähnenfett, Leinöl und rotem Lehm aus dem mittleren Osten eingeschmiert. Dieser Dachziegelleim schützte das Holz vor dem Vermodern.
Die ursprüngliche Mühle steht dort nicht mehr. Die Erben der Grafen von Ursel, die während einer langen Zeit zu den vornehmsten Familien in Hoboken gehörten, verkauften die Mühle und die umliegenden Grundstücke im Jahre 1905. Der neue Eigentümer brach die Mühle ab und baute sie in Putte, bei Mecheln wieder auf. Dort wurde sie 1927 endgültig abgerissen.
Die Mühle, die heute auf dem Spielplatz der Molenschool besichtigt werden kann, ist ein maßstabsgerechtes Modell der ursprünglichen Mühle. Es handelt sich um eine getreue Wiedergabe im Maßstab von 1 zu 5 mit einer Höhe von 6 m. Der Bezirk Hoboken arbeitet inzwischen an den Plänen zum Bau einer neuen Mühle in ihrer wahren Größe. Eine zum Mahlen bereite Mühle, die ihren Platz auf dem Gelände vom Cockerillhof, an der Ecke von der Kapelstraat und der Jozef Leemanslaan erhält.

HOBOKEN MILL
Hoboken mill, a windmill, stands on the corner of the Eikenlei and the Onderwijzerstraat in the middle of the Molen district.
The mill plays a central part in the novel ‘A Dog of Flanders’. The story, dating from 1872, about a boy called Nello and his dog Patrasche, is very well known in the Hoboken district and much further afield, even as far away as Japan. According to the story, Nello’s friend Aloϊse lived in the mill. She was the miller’s only daughter.
Ouida, the English author of ‘A Dog of Flanders’, evidently based the tale on her own experiences and the characters she met as she travelled through Hoboken. The Community archives reveal that the miller, who took a lease on the mill in 1872, really did have a daughter who was twelve years old, exactly the same age as the girl in the story.
The mill is first mentioned in an inventory of the Prince of Orange’s possessions dating from the year 1545. It is shown on an engraving by Hieronymus Cock entitled ‘ The Fair at St Joris’, after the sketch by Pieter Breughel the Elder, and was also known as the Red Mill. Its wooden construction, in keeping with the style from the fifteenth century onwards, was covered in a mixture of grease extracted from horses’ manes, linseed oil, and red clay from the Middle East . This roofing tile cement mixture protected the wood from mould.
The original mill is no longer there. It was sold, together with the surrounding lands, in 1905 by the heirs of the Grafs or Dukes of Ursel, who for a long period were considered to be amongst the most distinguished families of Hoboken. The new owner dismantled the mill and had it reconstructed in the town of Putte, near Mechelen. It was finally demolished in 1927.
The mill, which visitors see today in the playground of the Molenschool, is a scale model of the original. It is an exact replica, one fifth of the actual size, standing some 6 metres tall. The borough of Hoboken is currently working on plans for the construction of a new full-size version of the mill. A working mill, capable of grinding flour, will occupy a place on the Cockerillhof square, at the corner of the Kapelstraat and the Josef Leemanslaan.
