About me
In my translation work, as in my laboratory work, I strive to deliver high-quality products perfected to the smallest detail. A translation, or a laboratory analysis, is not complete until the highest possible level of accuracy and consistency is achieved. If a translated phrase or an analysis result does not make sense to me, I pursue it until it does, by consulting scientific papers, manuals, books, and experts within the field.

My specialty is the really complicated, scientific stuff, e.g. biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics, written by scientists for scientists, but I translate general texts as well, and have 11 years of experience in translating literature.

For the past 5 years, I have mainly translated in the field of medicine and have gained extensive experience in translating:

Clinical trial protocols
Summaries of product characteristics (using the relevant templates and terminology)
Manuals and user guides for medical devices
Material safety data sheets
Patent claims (pharmaceutical products)
Chemical exposure scenarios

I use Wordfast (Classic and Pro) unless required to translate using web-based and/or agency-specific software.

I am currently living in Greenland, a former Danish colony, and although the official language here is Greenlandic, the working language, especially in the scientific community, is Danish.
