Areas of expertise

I started translating roughly thirteen years ago. I am particularly skilled at drafting and translating marketing copy, but I also have extensive experience of translating legal documents. Other areas include medicine (dosing cards, medical records, etc), PR, business, finance (including KIIDs, prospectuses and annual reports), and fashion.

Languages

Being bilingual, I focus on qualitative translations from Swedish to British English and vice versa. On occasion, I also translate from French/Norwegian/Danish to Swedish/English.

Professional experience

After five years of legal studies at the Gothenburg School of Economics and Law, I spent six years working as a paralegal in a US law firm in Brussels and London. I then decided to move in a different direction and spent the following three years working with marketing and business development in the City of London. I later spent two years working as a Project Manager and Deputy Operations Manager at a Swedish translations agency. I now run my own small business, Jolianna Communications, with translations as one of the focal areas.
