I started working as a translator in 1994, while I was in Hunter College. At that time, I did a variety of jobs such as translating business report, financial document, newspaper article/magazines, legal letters, resume, letter of complain, etc. I also worked as a part time translator/proofreader at a New York based Import/export Company. I did many freelance interpreter/coordinator/voiceover jobs as well.
After I graduated from college, I worked as a full time translator at the company which specialized in localizing software manuals. In 1996, I entered MFA in Computer Art program. For three years, I learned so much of programming as well as designing web/multimedia platform. After that, I worked as a freelance web/multimedia designer for over five years. Since last year, I decided to do more translation jobs and so far, I have been getting jobs steadily in many fields, such as business, marketing, computer manuals, IT, biochemistry, pharmacology, tourism, social services and web localization. I started using TRADOS last year and now I am quite proficient.
Since I have so much knowledge of digital designing, working on web localization feels natural to me. I translate text, code HTML & Java and if necessary, I make gif & flash animations using Japanese text. I'm proficient with 3D software & Powerpoint as well. Additionally, I'm a published author of two Japanese essay books.

In addition, I have professional experience & extensive knowledge of many kinds of art form which includes fine art (painting, sculpture photography, digital media, art history and others), performing arts (stage play, play-writing, dance, butoh, costume & stage design and others) , cinema (film, 3D & 2D animation, script writing etc ) as well as literal arts.
