Troubleshooting Foreign Language Display

Computers Using Microsoft Windows
Most versions of Windows include good Unicode support. Generally speaking, the more recent your version of Windows, the better the support is for Unicode. Windows XP in particular includes excellent support for foreign languages.
Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x
Foreign languages should display properly. If they do not appear correctly (for example if you see some seemingly random Roman characters such as %#$*), you may need to change your encoding settings. Do not change your encoding settings unless you are having difficulty viewing the previous page in your language. To change your encoding settings:
1. Go to View > Encoding > More
2. Switch from the current setting (probably Western) to an appropriate encoding.
3. If there is more than one option, try selecting one at a time until the page displays properly.
4. When you are done viewing the site, you will have to switch your browser back to Western if you wish to continue viewing pages in Roman characters.
Internet Explorer 7.x
As for IE 5.x and 6.x, foreign languages should display properly in IE 7. If they do not, try changing your encoding settings:
1. Go to Tools (the gear icon beneath the search box) > Toolbars > Classic Menu
Note: If you do not see the Tools icon, look for a View menu above the browser window and skip to Step 3.
2. You should see the View menu beneath the URL text box.
3. Go to View > Encoding > More

Greetings from Bangladesh!
This is Iffat. I am a native Bengali full time freelance translator. I have been working as a professional language expert since 2003.

Education
I received a bachelor's and a master's degrees in International Relations from Dhaka University where the medium of instruction was English. I received my schooling at a christian missionary school in Dhaka where English language was given top importance and then, I got admission to Viqarunnisa Noon College, the best college for girls in Bangladesh.
Translation experiences
Over the years, I gained hands-on experiences in translation and won clients' trusts from all over the world. My clients are happy and satisfied because I never compromise with quality and never seek extention of deadline. My clients stretch from New York to London and different cities of Asia. Here in Dhaka, I am an enlisted translator with U.S. Embassy Dhaka and Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh, an NGO.

My works include news items, training manuals, brochures, business flyers, education materials, medical surveys, marriage certificates, school certificates, seminar papers and journal and newspaper articles.
