fernsucht. Die Suche nach der Fremde im 16. und 17. Jahrhundert
Die Entdeckungen des 16.Jhdts hatten nicht nur den räumlichen Horizont erweitert, sondern auch das Denken. Eine Ära der Sammelleidenschaft brachte Kokosnüsse, exotische Muscheln, Rhinozeroshörner, Korallen, Elfenbein u.a.m. in die Wunderkammern, in ihrem Wert durch kostbare Goldschmiedearbeiten erhöht, dazu aus exotischen Ländern Porzellanobjekte, Lackgefäße oder Specksteinfiguren. 1506 hatte in Rom ein Zufallsfund Begeisterung ausgelöst: die Entdeckung der Laokoongruppe. Spätestens ab da wurden Skulpturen der römischen Antike oder deren Kopien zu einem fixen Bestandteil aller Sammlungen. Die Oster-Ausstellung in der Ambraser Kunst- und Wunderkammer zeigt eine Auswahl exotischer Stücke und antiker Skulpturen aus dem Kunsthistorischen Museum Wien. Sie sind zum Teil nie oder lange nicht mehr gezeigt worden. | Translation - Italian

Le scoperte del 16° secolo non hanno aperto solo gli orizzonti dello spazio, ma anche quelli del pensiero. Un'era di passione per il collezionismo ha portato noci di cocco, conchiglie esotiche, corna di rinoceronte, coralli, zanne di elefante e molto altro ancora nelle camere delle meraviglie, dove il loro valore veniva aumentato da preziose decorazioni d’oro, e dove si trovavano oggetti di porcellana provenienti da terre esotiche, vasi laccati oppure statuette di steatite. Nel 1506 a Roma, un ritrovamento fortuito ha acceso l’entusiasmo: la scoperta del Gruppo del Laocoonte. Più tardi, sculture degli antichi Romani o copie delle stesse, sono diventate un obbligo in tutte le collezioni. La Mostra di Pasqua “Oster-Ausstellung”, presso la Camera dell’Arte e delle meraviglie del Castello di Ambras mostra una selezione di pezzi esotici e di antiche sculture provenienti dal Museo di Storia dell’Arte di Vienna. Questi pezzi, in parte, non sono mai stati esposti oppure non lo sono più da lungo tempo. |

I have a BA in interpreting and translating obtained on the 29th February 2007 at SSML - Varese, Italy.
From November 2010 I'm also Trados Studio 2009 and Multiterm 2009 certified: http://www.sdl.com/certified/36762.
I started working part-time as a translator in January 2007 by a translation agency in Ticino, the Swiss canton where I live and was born. While working part-time I also started working as freelance and building my customer portfolio. And from that point on, I never stopped!
