Vera Orloff has worked in the professionally-run language service of the NATO mission in the Balkans, with several years of in-country experience in translation, revision and editing, and translation management. Specializations include marketing, business, international affairs and development, political, legal, financial, and entertainment, although translating experience includes a wide range of texts.

Translations are highly polished, aided by a library of specialized dictionaries and collection of online resources, rounded out by a network of native Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian translator colleagues. Native language is English, but fluency in source languages is near native from having spoken Serbo-Croatian since childhood.

Education includes a political science degree from UCLA, and a Master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California (USC).
