About me

Background
I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a BA in Japanese Language and Literature. After that I moved to Japan where I taught English while furthering my understanding of the Japanese language. In addition to my education experience, I also have experience in the broadcast and publishing worlds. I am currently the Editor In Chief of an award winning magazine for English teachers in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. My extensive experience with writing, speaking, acting and editing has proved invaluable in making me an effective and expedient translator who produces very natural and readable English.
Having written a thesis on Godzilla, I have a good understanding of Japanese popular culture and how it relates to American and British popular culture. I consider this my primary area of expertise, but am fully capable of translating a variety of texts.
