I am Valerie and live on the North Coast of Ireland, in a little town by the name of Portstewart, Co. Derry. I am self employed in services in Irish language/Gaeilgesince I obtained my degree approx seven years ago. B.A. (Hons) and I did reasonably well with a 2:1 even though I had no Irish beforehand. I am a teacher as well and love to help older people learn their native language.
I own the business, SMAOINTE, which designs and makes Irish language Greeting cards, as well as private commissions, le likes of wedding invitations and booklets, sympathy cards and rememberance stationary. I have good experience of translation, working as part of a team on the president of the European Commission's website when the Taoiseach held it.
