I am a native (UK) English speaker and have worked as a freelance translator since 2000.

I translate from Swedish, Norwegian and Danish into English on a full-time basis.

I have translated a wide variety of texts from all three source languages to English. These include the following:

* Medical notes and reports including texts in cardiology, rheumatology, psychology/psychiatry and
other specialist fields;
* Legal and other official documents including birth, baptism, marriage and death certificates,
separation agreements and divorce settlements, employment contracts, tax returns and statements,
pension statements;
* Company financial reports;
* Market research survey results

I worked for 20 years in IT as an applications developer and support programmer and have accumulated specialist knowledge of this area.

Additionally, I have a wide range of interests in other areas and read as extensively as possible about these (including where possible texts in my specialist languages). These include:

astronomy, cartography and navigation, environmental issues, wildlife (esp. ornithology),
equestrianism, geography and geology, linguistics, meteorology, photography,
television, home audio and video, tourism and travel

I take particular pride in the production of accurate and correct English and always, if necessary, contact the client to discuss any issues arising from a text.

I am also able to undertake proofreading.

My basic (minimum) rate for all three languages (non-technical text / familiar subject area with no special formatting problems) is 0.07 Euro per word.
