Aujourd'hui, Esso a ouvert sa deuxième station-service automatique à Arnhem-Presikhaaf aux Pays-Bas. Cette station fait partie d'une série de points de vente particuliers d'Esso qui seront construits cet automne. Le nom est familier et pourtant neuf. Esso Express. Provisoirement, il s'agit d'un test avec dix stations. Si, comme le prévoit Esso, cette formule remporte les faveurs des consommateurs, le réseau Esso Express néerlandais sera étendu.
Esso Express sera en général la station-service la meilleur marché des environs. La formule automatique d'Esso est également synonyme de simplicité: l'on ne vendra pas plus de trois sortes de carburants dans ces stations: de l'Euro 95, de l'Euro 98 et du diesel. A chaque îlot de pompes, il y aura moyen d'acheter ces trois carburants. Le paiement se fera simplement par une carte à puce ou par une carte de carburant spéciale, telle que la Essocard, la Multitankcard ou la Travelcard.
Grâce au système de sécurité de haute fiabilité avec appareils de détection, caméras, éclairage amélioré et intercoms, le client se sentira également en sécurité dans une station automatique d'Esso. De plus, la station sera nettoyée à fond tous les jours.
Le nom Esso Express est un choix bien réfléchi, car Esso offre la même qualité de carburant que dans les stations avec personnel, tandis que les clients reçoivent rapidement (Express) ce qu'ils demandent.
Il est évident qu'Esso s'attend à ce que cette formule sera fort appréciée par le consommateur. Today, Esso opened its second unstaffed petrol station in Arnhem-Presikhaaf in the Netherlands. This station is part of a series of special Esso sales outlets to be built this autumn. Esso Express is a new spin on the very familiar brand name. For the time being, there will be a trial run with ten stations but if, as Esso expects, this formula appeals to the consumers, the Dutch Esso Express network will be further expanded.
Esso Express will generally be the cheapest petrol station in the neighbourhood as Esso's unstaffed formula also stands for simplicity and savings. A maximum of three types of fuel - Euro 95, Euro 98 and diesel - will be sold at all the stations. All three fuels will be available at each pump island, and payment can be easily made using a bank card with chip and pin, or a special fuel card such as the Esso Card, Multi Tank Card or Travel Card.
Thanks to a reliable security system with detection equipment, cameras, improved lighting and intercoms, customers will also feel extremely secure at the unstaffed Esso stations. In addition, the station will be cleaned thoroughly each day.
The name Esso Express was a conscious choice because Esso will offer the same quality of fuels as at its manned stations, while at the same time providing customers with the speedy (Express) service they demand.
Naturally, Esso expects this formula to be a big hit with consumers. Its confidence in Esso Express is based, above all, on the success this enterprise has experienced in other countries such as France and Belgium, where Express has been an established concept on the petrol market for some years now.
However, it is not Esso's intention to switch completely to unstaffed stations, quite the contrary, the greater part their network will remain manned; the chosen concept will depend on the requirements of the station’s local area. With this approach, Esso can tailor-make their stations to fit their customers’ preferences in each location.
Other locations in the Netherlands where Esso Express stations will soon be opening include Heerlen, Velserbroek, Amstelveen and Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. The first unstaffed Esso station opened in September in Roermond.
