| Translation - English 1. The Tokelau Islands, a non-autonomous territory administered by New Zealand, are located in the South Pacific and are composed of three small atolls (Fakaofo, Nukunonu and Atafu) with a total area of approximately 12.2 square kilometers. Nukunonu is located about 50 kilometers from Fakaofo, the southernmost atoll. Atafu is approximately 100 kilometers from Nukunonu. Each atoll is composed of strips of land no wider than 200 meters, at a height less than five meters above sea level. Samoa is located 480 kilometers to the south.
3. There has never been a resident New Zealand representative in the territory. The New Zealand official responsible for relations with the Tokelauans is the Administrator, appointed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. In February 2002, the term of Administrator Lindsay Watt was renewed for an additional one year term at the request of the Tokelauan authorities. Upon his March 2003 retirement, Neil Walter was named Administrator. In the past, there has also been a Tokelau Public Service Commissioner, representing the State Services Commission. Aleki Silaoi, a Tokelauan residing in New Zealand, was the last Civil Service Commissioner. He held this post until June 30, 2001, on which date this office was transferred to the territory (see p. 23).
| Translation - English To access this screen, click in the “Input” menu, then select “Personal Account Marking.”
This allows the program manager to track all operations linked to a personal account.
The screen lists all “00PERS – Personal Accounts” operations (see the corresponding chapter) as well as all operations relating to expenditures on advances. It then allows you to mark rows.
By marking, you can determine which rows cancel each other. For example, if an employee receives a 3000 rupee advance in June, then repays 1000 rupees in August and 2000 in September, you will have entered three 00PERS operations on the operations input screen. You can then mark all three operations on this screen.
To mark operations, click the box to the right of each line you want to select, then click on the “Mark” button. Marking will function only if:
- the total of all selected operations is zero. This total is indicated in the “Balance” field
- all operations pertain to the same personal account
- all operations are in the same currency
When the operations are marked, they disappear from the list. This allows the program manager to quickly identify operations yet to be marked.
However, you can redisplay previously marked operations by unchecking the box “Hide operations already marked (X)”. Thus, operations previously marked are once again visible. They are distinguished by an X in the next to last column. To cancel marking relating to a group of operations, check the box to the right of one of the marked operations and click the “Cancel Marking” button.

I am an ATA-certified French into English translator. As a former corporate lawyer with a wide range of experience, including venture capital transactions, commercial contracts (including hotel management agreements), public contracts, real estate deals, mergers and acquisitions (U.S. and international), and litigation. I have practiced in both the United States and Belgium and have extensive experience in international matters.
In addition to my law degree from Georgetown University, I have a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Michigan and have studied French language and linguistics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
I possess near-native fluency in French, and can incorporate the nuances of the French language into my English language translations. I do preliminary research prior to beginning each translation, which helps me craft an accurate text. I am an excellent writer who will transform a French document into smooth, crystal clear English that conveys the original meaning of the document.
I specialize in translation of documents in the financial, accounting, legal (including contracts and litigation briefs), employment/human resources, marketing and tourism sectors. I never miss a deadline, and take pride in delivering the highest-quality translations.
Please consider me for your next translation project. I guarantee your total satisfaction, and I look forward to working with you.
Very truly yours,
Laura Tridico
