The majority of recent drug law changes in Peru focused on a reduction of penalties. However, some revisions actually increased the length or severity of sentences. If passed, the country’s new drug laws would enforce a sentence of 25-35 years in prison for any prosecuted person identified as a leader of a drug organization, or someone who uses drug trafficking to finance terrorism. Increased penalties would also be implemented to combat small scale trafficking or production. A standard sentence of 1-4 years would be increased to 6-10 years for any sales or production of less than 25 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of opium, or 100 grams of marijuana. | Translation - Somali

I have been a full time Somali translator for over 15 years. I work mostly with UK local government, National Health Service, UK Home Office and Irish Garda, I also translate many security related jobs for the UK and US government. So far I have translated over 5,000,000 words.

In 2004 I finished a 98,000 word translation from English to Italian for HM Prison service.
In September 2006 I completed 130,000 words from English into Somali for the Local Government.
