I am an Indonesian native, have spent my whole life in Indonesia, and speak Indonesian even in my dream.
I am English BA from the University of Indonesia, and a master candidate of Health Psychology from the same university. I have been in the writing industry for 20 years. I started my career as a reporter at an Indonesian top women's magazine and developed my writing, translating and editing skills there. After 15 years with the magazine, I became the managing editor of Reader's Digest of Indonesia, of which 70% of its content is tanslated from the US editions. Working with international editors I had a chance to broaden my horizon. However, after two years with Reader's Digest, I decided to resign for a very personal reason: starting my own business, however small it was. Now in my SOHO I write, edit and translate articles for magazines and digital libraries, while running a preschool, teaching online writing class, volunteering as media person and pursuing a master degree on health psychology.
I love working with texts related with pychology and behavior (including consumer behavior, marketing and surveying), health and medicine, social and community, and education and parenting.
