The term radiation is very broad and includes radiowaves, microwaves, visible light, ultra-violet light and x-rays. Ionizing radiation is radiation with sufficient energy to remove electrons from atoms when it passes through a material, causing the atoms to become electrically charged, or ionized. In some circumstances, the presence of such ions in living tissues can disrupt normal biological processes. Just as excessive exposure to other forms of radiation can do harm, excessive exposure to ionizing radiation may result in sickness or death. | Translation - Malay
