In 1988, when I was 18 years old (or young), I had the occasion to attend a translation course at school (German School of Milan) and my translation was selected to be published on a literary review - since then I loved to translate whatever passed my way.
Years went by and I began to transform my passion into a job and so now I can proudly tell: this is my job, and I've been doing it for the past 10 years.
I spent 7 years in a German speaking insurance, where I translated from and to German, Italian and English. From there comes my specialization in law, insurance and economics.
Then I decided to become a freelancer - a full time freelance translator. And that is - lucky me - my job and my passion.
My father is an engineer and my husband is an IT specialist – this is where my specialization in engineering and IT translations comes from.

1995 BA in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the LUMSA (Italian university in Rome)
1996 Master in European Public Relations
1997 Freelance Journalist registered at the Association of Italian Journalists (Ordine dei Giornalisti)

Nel 1988, all’età di 18 anni, ho avuto l'occasione di frequentare un corso di traduzioni a scuola (Scuola Germanica di Milano) e la mia traduzione è stata scelta per essere pubblicata su una rivista letteraria – da allora mi è sempre piaciuto tradurre qualsiasi cosa attirasse il mio sguardo.
Gli anni passavano e col tempo ho trasformato la mia passione in un vero e proprio lavoro ed ora posso dire con orgoglio: questo è il mio lavoro e sono 10 anni che lo sto svolgendo.
Ho lavorato per 7 anni in un'assicurazione di lingua tedesca, dove ho tradotto da e in tedesco, italiano e inglese. Da lì viene la mia specializzazione in traduzioni del settore legale, assicurativo ed economico.
Poi ho deciso di diventare un libero professionista – un traduttore freelance a tempo pieno. E questo è – fortunata me – il mio lavoro e la mia passione.
Mio padre è in ingegnere e mio marito un informatico – da qui la mia specializzazione in traduzioni del settore ingegneristico e informatico.

Im Jahr 1988, als ich 18 Jahre alt (oder jung) war, bot sich mir die Gelegenheit, einen Übersetzungskurs in der Schule (Deutsche Schule Mailand) zu besuchen, und meine Übersetzung wurde ausgewählt, um auf einer Literaturzeitschrift veröffentlicht zu werden – seitdem habe ich es geliebt, soviel wie möglich zu übersetzen.
Die Jahre sind vergangen und langsam aber sicher habe ich meine Leidenschaft in eine echte Arbeit verwandelt und heute kann ich stolz sagen: Das ist meine Arbeit und ich übe sie seit 10 Jahren aus.
Ich habe 7 Jahre in einer Deutsch sprechenden Versicherungsgesellschaft gearbeitet, wo ich aus den und in die Sprachen Deutsch, Italienisch und Englisch übersetzt habe. Das ist wo meine Spezialisierung in Übersetzungen aus den Bereichen Recht, Versicherungswesen und Wirtschaft herkommt.
Dann habe ich beschlossen, freiberuflich zu arbeiten – ich bin ein Vollzeit-freiberuflicher Übersetzer geworden. Das ist – ich glückliche – mein Beruf und meine Leidenschaft.
Mein Vater ist ein Doktor Ingenieur und mein Ehemann ein IT-Experte – daher kommt meine in Übersetzungen aus den Bereichen Ingenieurwesen und IT.
