Completed all requirements for Ph.D. in Linguistics at Cornell University, except repeat oral defense of dissertation, "Morphology and Syntax of Gorontalo (North Celebes)."

Taught the Indonesian language at university level for ten years (Cornell U., U. of Wisconsin at Madison, Griffith University, Nathan, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia).
