This is exactly what I can offer you, so that once our goal has been accomplished, we shake hands and smile in recognition of a well-done job. Because, you know, I am here to help you: To help you what? To help you get global and, thus, become local anywhere and everywhere in the globe.
But, let me tell you a bit about myself: I am a 34-year-old translator and language trainer. Despite being Argentinean, and thus, my mother tongue being Spanish, I am truly bilingual. I have been studying English since I can remember and have travelled widely, living abroad for a period of about 4 years in the USA, England and Spain.
In the last 14 years I have been working as an English language trainer at enterprises and a translator and interpreter. I have done translation work for many international companies such as Unilever, Disney Co., Armenian Airports, Argentinean Airports, Renault, Budweiser, etc.
As far as areas of expertise is concerned, most areas can be covered, for I have been working for 15 years now and involved in a variety of different projects but mostly: aerospace engineering, engineering, building, construction, marketing, economics, insurance, presentations, safety and security at work, journals, travelling, tourism, home and personal care products, film reviews, etc.
I can use most CAT tools: Xanadu, OFFice Xp, Trados, Adobe and Corel Draw, and I am a fast learner which becomes a plus as far as what being up-to-date when talking about using Computer Assisted Technology means. Nevertheless, I still think there is nothing like the so-called Human Translator.
RATES, This is a NEGOTIABLE topic. It will all depend on the subject matter, number of words, schedule, etc. And the idea here is not a fixed rate but a rate that will let us both walk away without the best deal ever we could have arranged.
I must just mention one more thing: In the event of a large project or one requiring multiple-language translation, I work in cooperation with other graduate professional translators (English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German). Here again, I will be able to provide C.V.s of those professionals who will be working with me in that project.
Finally, you will my Curriculum Vitae together with this email. There, you will be able to find all the information I have been informally briefing you on in more detail.
Now, should you require further information or references of my person and work, there would be no problem in my providing them.
Thanks for your time in advance and |
