OVERVIEW
Bahía del Sol is a project created with sea lovers in mind, for those who enjoy sport fishing, water sports and outdoor recreation in the unruffled peace of nature. Whether as a family vacation retreat, a couple’s getaway, or a retirement destination, Bahía del Sol is a paradise come true experience.
Nestled amongst mountains and the sea, the project is conveniently located on the Ocoa Bay seashore and enjoys great proximity to the town of Palmar de Ocoa – a traditional fishermen’s village. The unparalleled stillness of its bathing waters – much like a big lake’s body of water– allows for jet skiing and snorkeling, among other exciting ocean water sports.
The climate condition is usually that of ever flowing unsullied breeze. Here the tropical dry forest greenery blooms with evergreen guayacan trees – known for its sturdy timber wood – and guatapanal, an indigenous plant known for its healing properties. Together with maguey or agave plant, aloe also grows and is widely used as a remedy and healer, as well as a limitless string of native cacti of eye-catching exuberance that steal the show in its flowering season.
Velvety-black night skies sprinkled with thousands of stars...stunning sunrises of breathtaking beauty…and the heart-stopping splendor of the most gorgeous sunsets are among the greatest shows on earth that Mother Nature stages non-stop, all year round at Bahía del Sol.
FEATURES
Bahía del Sol is a vacation waterfront complex of family cottages flanked by stone-built walls, providing absolute privacy and safe lodging to owners. Upon arrival, a single entryway access allows owner and visitor entrance to be monitored.
Hand in hand with its backdrop and setting, the architectural design of the project is tropically inspired and sealed with a resourceful use of indigenous elements and building materials, in true harmony and balance with its natural environment.
All villages will be standing facing the sea, with an ample 7 meter-wide access road bordered by lush landscaping running all the way through the complex.
LOCATION
Bordering the south coast of the Dominican Republic, Bahía del Sol rests on the seashore overlooking the scenic Ocoa Bay, upon riding 6 kilometers –about 3.75 miles– over the main highway stretch connecting Palmar de Ocoa with the township of Hatillo.
Departing from Santo Domingo, it is a 1 hr & 20 minutes ride, and only 25 minutes from Baní and Azua. | More Less | | General, Literary, Science/Chem/Bio | | Other - Universidad del Dominico-Americano | | Years of translation experience: 6.
