SWORN TRANSLATOR ITALIAN-SPANISH

-I'm a native bilingual Spanish and Catalan speaker with the solidest educational background in Literature and Linguistics. I translate texts from English, Italian, Spanish or Catalan into my both native tongues. I come from a multilingual family and have formed a multilingual family of my own, that's how I acquired a great linguistic sensitivity and a gift for languages.

-I have been working in the translation business since 2001. Besides my activity as a freelance translator, I develop an intense career in book publishing and I am currently working as an editor in a prestigious publishing house in Madrid: Editorial Impedimenta. For eight years now I have been working as an editorial consultant, writer and copy editor for several leading publishing companies in Spain.

-Academic research is also one of my main interests and occupations: I have been working in a PhD thesis on Comparative Literature and Translation Studies (to be defended by the end of 2007 in the University of Barcelona, Spain) and have published several scholarly works on the field.

-I specialize in literary translation (five published translated books) and techical translation in the humanistic and social sciencies fields: literature, history, arts, linguistics, politics, economics, sociology and publishing. I also work in fields such as journalism, travels and tourism and marketing.
