Translating and interpreting are much more than literal work. A good translator must be able to understanding the culture and study well the usage of the text in order to give a translation in the right tone and best word choice. Similarly, interpretation requires the interpreter to understand fully the background and also relationship of relevant parties so as to avoid embarrassment.
