I am a German to English translator specializing in the translation of financial, business, legal, marketing, tourism and academic texts. I have an honours degree in Linguistics (Translation Studies) and an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Philosophy. I have worked as a full-time translator for more than 5 years now, and passionately translated more than 2,000,000 words during this time.

In the twenty years prior to establishing myself as a freelance translator, I worked for various companies and NGOs in support roles primarily in accounting, finance administration, corporate governance, contract administration and banking and thus have a wide range of first-hand experience in the business world at my disposal. During this time, in addition to my finance-related duties I also always handled my own correspondence, in my capacity as Finance Officer I compiled a training manual for my successor, I compiled the meeting minutes for Board Meetings for 6 years and edited business documents of all kinds where required.
