Born in UK, raised in Japan, I have been working professionally and full time as an interpreter and translator for 20 years.
My technical experience originates in simultaneous interpretation for training courses for service engineers of various machines installed in hospitals worldwide for cancer treatment. The course covered linear accelerator theory, physics, electric and electronic engineering, computer control systems, hexadecimal codes, radiation safety, lab work, etc. I continued to work in this field as an interpreter for five years.
I have since moved on to serve as an interpreter for various intellectual property litigation and other business-related suits, from discovery through trial. I also have extensive experience in translation of patents and other technical documents. The field covers IT, semiconductors, optical devices, image display devices, sputtering technology, hybrid vehicles, batteries, endoscopes, pharmaceutical products, etc.
Due to my bilingual and bicultural background, both US and Japanese clients have been very happy with my services.
