About me
Translating and editing texts from Dutch and French to English as well as English to Dutch has been part of my job description for at least 20 years. I started at Sea-Land Europe, editing texts that had already been translated from Dutch, and later translating the texts as well.

At ISNAR, I edited texts written by non-native speakers especially from Africa and Asia, as well as translating texts from French to English.

During my time at the ICTY, I translated legal texts from French to English for the 2 judges I worked with. In addition, edited work done by non-native speakers. I did this up to my retirement in 2003.

In 2003 also worked as a translator/editor for Eurojust (counterpart of Europol) French/English and Dutch/English. I took minutes during the meetings of the management team, transcribed and edited them. Interpreter work French/English and Dutch/English

At the beginning of 2007 I decided to become a freelance translator making use of the skills I had acquired during my working life. I have worked for Exxon Benelux, The Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Disney, Reuters, Google, Dutch Ministry of Justice, The Ministry of Health, Draeger Medical, various law firms and several agencies. I have just completed a translation of an Art Magazine.
This year (2009), among other things, I have translated a large book on Charles V from Dutch to English and a travel guide to Utrecht. I have also edited a book on Brazil and a thesis on mediaeval books.
