I am chemical engineer with a specialisation on information technology and another on management. For several years I have been engineer and after manager in an oil company.

I worked in translation since 1979 mainly in technical fields of chemistry, medicine, biology, genetics, chemical engineering and so on. Mainly I translate patents, tecnhical documents and reports.

During all this time I create and purchase many terminologic and software tools to aid my work.

I am equipped and I am experienced in the use of Trados Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, OminPage, Paint, Adobe, and so on. I can receive and deliver projects and works by mail, fax and in most electronic formats.

I always plan and manage my translation projects in order to fulfill with deadlines and I keep business partners informed of work progress, by producing a forthnight situation report

My education was done in one of the best portuguese engineering schools (Instituto Superior Técnico) with the upgradin in Economics (Instituto Superior de Economia and Management (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) schools. I also attend a course on assisted translation (ISLA)
