L’oreiller sert à soutenir notre tête, de façon que notre colonne soit droite autant que possible et que nos articulations puissent se détendre. On dort sur le dos? L’oreiller soulève légèrement notre tête et comble l’espace sous la nuque. Si on est couché sur le côté, il comble le creux à la hauteur du cou. En dormant sans oreiller, on risque de développer, avec le temps, des raideurs qui pourraient devenir douloureuses.

A pillow supports your head and should straighten your spine as much as possible, thus allowing your joints to relax. If you sleep on your back, your pillow gently elevates your head and conforms to the shape of the nape. If you sleep on your side, your pillow fills the hollow space created by your neck. If you sleep without a pillow you risk developing stiffness that can become painful over time.
There are many different types of pillow to choose from - soft, medium, firm or very firm.
