About me
Your French - elegant and eloquent!

I have a master’s degree in communication & journalism and have worked in a local Irish paper several months, and this was quite a formative experience. I have a first degree in English too. You may gather that I am a rather literate and generalist person as I have studied many diverse, either complementary or independent topics (ranging from sociology to law, linguistics to agriculture, anthropology to accountancy, child psychology to European structural bodies, etc.). I personally trained myself in the rural tourism & local development field.
I do not have any degree in translation, but for the past ten years I have worked in both languages, and done a lot of translations in the course of my different jobs.
The most recent one lasted five years as personal bilingual assistant to an English loss adjuster in the international insurance field. A good part of my translation involved technical and jewellery related texts.

I presently work on texts relating to international cooperation/humanitarian action, loss adjusting, tourism and travel, and healthy pet food (nutrition). Customers can provide you information on the quality of my work if you need it. I choose not to disclose their names for sake of confidentiality. But please do not hesitate to ask me.

Thanks for reading me (somewhat boring I think!)
